(Newser) – Former John Edwards aide and fake babydaddy Andrew Young is dishing on the specifics of the foiled ruse, including a seamy attempt to fake a paternity test. Young’s ABC News interview, set to air next week, is widely seen as the impetus for Edwards’ acknowledgment today that he is the father of Rielle Hunter’s baby, Frances Quinn Hunter. The New York Daily News got its hands on a copy.
Young says at one point Edwards told him to “get a doctor to fake the DNA results.” Young, who sequestered Hunter for months during the scandal, says the former senator asked him “to steal a diaper from the baby so he could secretly do a DNA test to find out if this indeed is his child.” In addition, NBC News confirms the widely reported rumor that John Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, who is battling terminal cancer, have separated.
No, she’s a scumbag lawyer who’s been in it all from the beginning. Yes, she has cancer, but she married one, too.
After reading the Enquirer story, looks like he was just hitting on her and other women in the bar, trying to get them to come home with him. So I shouldn’t have said he “shacked up” with her.

Actually not. According to the story, he hit on a stunner of a barmaid who shot him down dead cold. She said she thought he was scum. Some woman can tell, others don't care.
Andrew Young putting this all on the record, confirming that he accepted bribe money to claim to be the father, the rest of this — aren’t there some legal issues he would need to deal with, considering he was a paid member of the staff of a federal official when he was involved in all this stuff? Just how smart was it to do a book, and can any of the proceeds be confiscated at some point?

Yeah I know she’s got cancer and has been on her deathbed now for quite awhile. Doesn’t make her a good person.

These guys all must invoke JFK in their analysis of whether it’s possible to get away with this stuff. JFK didn’t get away with it, he died. Had he lived some aide or press rat would have nailed him.

It is shocking to see the Dem scum in the primaries - Dodd, Hillary, Hussein the illegal, Edwards.
The GOP on the other hand had some very decent men - Juan McCain was not one of them.

Sounds like part of the plot for the movie "Primary Colors" which supposedly chronicled the Clinton's presidential run in 1991. Do this democrats get together and collaborate on how to lie, scam, cheat and steal or something?!
You can probably win a few lawsuits by faking test results.
I can’t stand Elizabeth Edwards either, never could. But that whole long-term terminal cancer thing she’s been through is not something I’d wish on anyone.
No matter how nasty she is and may always have been, I feel bad that hubby has made her last few years such a living hell on top of the hell that is the cancer.
