Democrats join in Murkowski's push against climate change rules

...

Sens. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., and Mary Landrieu, D-La., on Thursday signed on as co-sponsors to a new resolution offered by Murkowski that would effectively veto the Environmental Protection Agency's formal declaration last year that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger the public health and welfare.

With that formal endangerment declaration, the agency is prepared to move forward with new limits on emissions from vehicles in March. EPA lawyers and environmental law experts say the tailpipe limits would automatically lead to requirements that new or modified power plants, refiners and other industrial facilities emitting carbon dioxide employ the best available technology to control how much they release.

Murkowski's measure would take advantage of a rarely used federal statute, known as the Congressional Review Act, designed to empower Congress to speedily veto federal regulations.

Well, well, well.

I’m sure this will erase the stain left over from the health care fiasco.

Not.

They know Cap & Trade is dead in the water.

What they fear is Obama passing this by fiat by using those EPA rules.

They know Obozo is radioactive.

Not only is “solid carbon good - CO2 bad”, but carbon soot might be good, since it blocks the suns rays (nuclear winter, anyone?). We are living in a Bizarro world.

The Mustang Ranch crowd is a better term for them.

I saw a thing on the news awhile back that reported Nelson getting booed out of a pizza joint in Nebraska. Maybe the people will wake up and throw them out like happened to Chokely.

Must be hell to be in a political party run by wackos from districts probably safer than Ted Kennedy’s “seat”, and with a compliant media never lifting a finger to help reign in the Pelousies and Franks, too bad for them.

I think that we have to boycott the hell out of these smaller states when their $inators or Representatives do what Nelson did.

A national boycott of Gay Frisco this spring/summer/fall might force them to get rid of Pelosi. Gay Frisco is having a really bad financial two years during the meltdown. Less tourists and conventions might kneecap Gay Frisco into doing something about Pelosi.

Trying to save themselves. They know Americans are against cr*p-and-tax in any form, including EPA regulations.

here are the facts that REFUTE the latest scare-monguering by environuts:

The ‘danger levels’ of CO2 are over 5000 parts per million (and even this level is in dispute)

Man contributes 11.9 parts per million CO2- Nature provides 338 million parts per million- the total is a scant 349 parts per million- which is 4500 poarts per million BELOW toxic levels of CO2 in the atmosphere

Man would have to multiply EVERY single fossil fuel burning business home and transportation vehicle 33 times in order to even begin reaching ‘toxic levels’ of CO2 (and again even the 5000 ppm figure for ‘toxic levels’ is in dispute- some thinking it’s much higher that 5000 ppm)-

Let’s say that there is a total of 10,000,000,000 (billion) fossil fuel burning structures, homes, cars etc (and htis is a VERY lowball figure) that creates 11.9 ppm CO2 levels contributed by man- this owuld mean we would have to instantly create 330,000,000,000 billion such structures just to begin reaching the 5000 ppm- there is no way we can even begin doing so- not in a 1000 years- that’s a staggaring number of fossil fuel burnign structures that we will NEVER EVER reach

The claim that CO2 levels have reached ‘dangerous levels that cause health concerns which ‘needs to be regulated’’ is a bogus bald-faced lie
