Global warming continues unabated - NASA (Warmist BS Alert)
heraldsun.com ^ | Jan. 22, 2010

Posted on 01/22/2010 6:11:05 AM PST by PROCON

THE past decade was the warmest ever on Earth, according to a new analysis of global surface temperatures released by NASA.

The US space agency also found that 2009 was the second-warmest year on record since modern temperature measurements began in 1880.

Last year was only a small fraction of a degree cooler than 2005, the warmest yet, putting 2009 in a virtual tie with the other hottest years, which have all occurred since 1998.

According to James Hansen, who heads NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, global temperatures change due to variations in ocean heating and cooling.

"When we average temperature over five or 10 years to minimise that variability, we find global warming is continuing unabated," Mr Hansen said.

NASA is at the heart of Global Warming /green movement to gain favor with the progressives....they will not let the real data go out .. the analysis... the data and then report to us... onely one company does the satellite down stream so plenty of opportunity to fool with the numbers. They wont let the raw data go.....

Their Scientist are involved with small companies owned by professors at Stanford ... if you think this is bad look up EARTH Skin project at Cisco...

The green ubiquitous surveillance of humanity ..

Time to defund NASA.

They got us to the moon, now it is time to bring them down to earth.

Hansen is a loon with very little intelligence. The jig is up. It’s over. He needs to find a new scam and hoax to support himself. This one has been exposed by the light of truth and it isn’t pretty.

We are retreating form space exploration so why have it at all. Your right defund NASA and shut it down. If space is viable then let commercial take us.

Get the government out of space exploration. NO Funding.

Cisco has inked a deal with NASA to build a new global system for tracking climate change. Dubbed ‘Planetary Skin,’ the network platform will connect a number of sensor and recording units throughout the planet in an effort to gather data for monitoring and tracking changes to the global climate. The company plans to begin building the system next year with a program called ‘Rainforest Skin’ which will track both climate change and deforestation in rainforest environments. Eventually, the company plans to take the system throughout the planet and create a global network of data-collecting systems for the project. A podcast and a video explain the project in further detail.”

We are at the end of an interglacial.

The Sun is in a deep minimum.

And these asshats keep pushing this crap - delaying preparations for what is eventually coming.

I pray AGW ameliorates the coming cooling, but it truly is a fly on an elephant’s ass.

Climategate: CRU Was But the Tip of the Iceberg

Perhaps the key point discovered by Smith was that by 1990, NOAA had deleted from its datasets all but 1500 of the 6000 thermometers in service around the globe.

Burning science books is something fascists do. Let real scientists do their work, without them we have no way to refute the warmists!

There waa a blizzard warning in S. Arizona yesterday and snow forecast for tonight.

And I bet it gets hot here too come July.

I don't think there is enough (good) data available to predict long term trends. And the political goals of the hysterical glo-bull warmers should cast great doubt on their conclusions.

Too bad most of our elected officials buy into that crap.

In 2001, Hansen rewrote the ENTIRE US surface temperature history, making dozens of changes to make temps look more hockey-stick like. He has refused to share the original data ever since, refusing multiple FOIA requests. If he worked in pharmaceuticals, he'd be in jail.
Before and after graphs of his breathtaking fraud are available here:

To some extent he is true in what he is saying. I had the same problem in seeking an explanation of numerous hurricanes and growing temperatures between 1940 and 1950. There was not a cause and affect, which his data is lacking.

If one takes precipitation, accumulated cyclone energy, number of hurricanes and average winter temperatures and correlate each to sunspot activity, good patterns are created.

That is shown in my research papers at:
Nationalforestlawblog.com
October Newsletter
By Paul Pierett

The US temperatures peaked in 2000 and the rest of the decade had very warm temperatures.

It has dropping about a half degree a year on average since 2000 and I expect a severe drop towards the end of this sunspot cycle +3 years cycle in our average temperatures.

This matching the pattern of sunspot activity plus climate change drag time which varies in areas 5 to 14 years. Greenhouse gases are doing their job.

Most Sincerely,

Paul Pierett

Joseph D'Aleo, Smith's colleague, characterized the current quality of NASA/NOAA's manipulated databawe as "Non Gradus Anus Rodentum".

If you don't know Latin -- or can't guess the meaning, Google it and you'll get the translation -- it's worth it! '-)

The analysis was based on weather data from over a thousand meteorological stations worldwide, satellite observations of sea surface temperatures and Antarctic research station measurements.

Only a thousand stations over the entire land mass of six continents? Urban or rural? How far between them? How big are the areas with no stations?

Such grand, sweeping conclusions drawn from such a dearth of data.

The article linked in post #18 answers those questions -- in some detail! :)

Here's the link again: Climategate: CRU Was But the Tip of the Iceberg

Last Thursday, Certified Consulting Meteorologist Joseph D’Aleo and computer expert E. Michael Smith appeared together on KUSI TV [Video] to discuss the Climategate -- American Style scandal they had discovered. This time out, the alleged perpetrators are the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS).

I took a further look at his data on the NASA web site and he is climing that there is a growth since 2000 in earth temperatures. He says 2009 was the warmest.

I could not agree with that and another person has posted research contrary to his findings.

First is Hanson’s work at NASA.

http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/

Next is Contrary work.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/05/02/a_tale_of_two_thermometers/

The contrary work is more in line with my findings at NOAA.

Sincerely,

Paul Pierett
