Perhaps it’s time that commercial aircraft are equipped with “Terrorist Beat-Down Kits”, which deploy from the cabin roof like the oxygen masks. They could include brass nuckles, billy clubs, mace, small flame thowers, etc. Might be helpful.

Well, I'm rather corpulant guy, and I almost always get a seatbelt extender. That's a belt with a big heavy buckle on one end, and lighter one on the other. The heavy buckle would be like a roll of quarters in a sock, only more so. good for cracking skulls and can latter be used as restraints.

Watch where the flight attendent(s) stow the one they use for the "fasten your seat belt demo. They don't lock them up.

Since this is Britain, are the passengers going to be prosecuted for restraining him?

The airline is UK, the source airport (Cardiff) is in Britain, but the destination is in the Canary Islands, which are Spanish. The police who took the "disturber" into custody would be Spanish police.

But the passengers should be OK, even with the Brits, as long as they did not use any "offensive weapons", which can include a steak knife. Maybe even a plastic fork. I'm sure beating him with a seat belt extender would be considered use of an offensive weapon.

Updated story says a Spanish National, from the Canary Islands. Since that is off the coast of Moroco and Western Sahara, both heavily Muslim, they might have some Muslim nationals. A search for "Canary Islands mosques", indicates there are some, and their numbers are increasing.

He's said to have had a "panic attack". Maybe he was afraid he wouldn't get his 72 virgins? :)

Terrorist Bead-Down Kits

Carry on luggage>>a pair of long tube socks and some full size bars of soap.

Thompson Airways is taking notes from the drone officers over at Fort Hood.

"Excuse me, Sir, can you tell us anything about the suspect that you have apprehended?" - Reporters

"Yes, we can. He is a man, and it was not terrorist related. That is all I have to say." - Drone (Fort Hood/Thompson Airways/Anyone trying to bury the muslim motive)

It's usually fairly simple to figure this stuff out.

The more Fort Hood's General and Thompson Airways lie and cover things up, the more likely it was a muslim who was murdering or attempting to murder innocent people.
