No it was stoopid men.
Joy got in two nasty words on what makes talk radio tick. One was Xenophobia. I cannot remember the other one. I thought of the problems of massive illegal immigration as mentioned here re- non licenced drivers without insurance. I thought of the displacement of legal applicants for jobs, throw in a high incidence of criminal behaviour in gangs.
Joy will never get a fender bender from an illegal, never get her residence burgled by an illegal. If she does, I could see her xenophobia rising. LOL

I’ll speculate that the causes are the following:
1) crappy shows
2) crappy ideas
3) crappy audience
4) how can they compete with govt-funded NPR?
overall, if Airheads America were worth a damn it would have found an audience -— after all, it had far more funding and vast media hype than virtually any start-up media effort ever gets...... and various celebrities giving it potential visibilty from the start......
but the simple facts are that the left didn’t need an alternative to NPR which they already dominate, and AA sucked......
well I won’t pretend to have wasted any time or brain cells trying to listen to AA, but from all of its fiascos and from the bozos involved, I have to believe it sucked.
Joy Behar on the performance of President Obama. Questioning any of those who seem to be dissatisfied.

Behar is really that stupid. As bad as this is, just consider the numbers of Americans who actually listen to her and buy what she’s selling.
I’ve always thought that more women (probably married GOP women) listen to Rush than women, since we are often stay-at-home moms, or working part-time so we have more opportunity to listen to talk radio. . .
I’ve been listening to Rush since 1989, through college, and during my stay-at-home mom years. . .
I know more men call in to Rush’s show though.

I think Barbara Walters keeps her around because she makes Ms. Walters look like Albert Einstein in comparison to Ms. Behar and Whoppie Goldberg.

Back in the early 70’s I got involved in one of those “really heavy” socio-political discussions with an African-American Harvard student who insisted that the cultural association of the color black with death and negativity in general (as in “Black Friday”) was proof of subliminal white racism in society at large.

Someone should ask Me Behar why, instead of selecting the much more sensible and logical color BROWN, the African-American political movement selected BLACK as its defining color, with all its pre-existing negative cultural connotations.
Someone should ask Ms Behar why caucasians do NOT feel offended by the fact that WHITE is associated with death among Asian societies.
