“His wife Gail Huff is attractive too, so there is a little something for everyone!”

Oh, right ... then there’s the little Mrs. /JK!

My response to reporter asking my thoughts on Kennedy.

“Ladies and Gentlemen addiction is a terrible thing. Obviously Patrick is still dealing with his, so let’s not belittle him about every silly statement he makes. I wish him the best and hope he gets well soon.”

It’s a joke that Sen. Brown wasn’t sworn in two days after the special election, as he offered to be. How much rat damage occurred without his (presumably) dissenting vote?

Where did Kennedy get that freaking nickname “Patches” from? It is hilarous.

He got that name from Howie Carr and is based on the 1970s Clarence Carter song "Patches". In that song, a father on his deathbed pleads with his son to "carry the family through."

Perhaps you are right. Ignoring a Kennedy will have them steaming out of their ears!

It’s nothing short of amazing that Ted Kennedy was revered and untouchable for so many years.

He was booted out of UVA Law School for cheating/honor violation.

Decades later, he had just “hung out” with William Kennedy Smith before that young woman was murdered.

Unbelievable that the Camelot B.S. cooked up by Jackie could have taken a family so far.

No! No more ignoring. Identify it. Isolate it. Polarize it.

Sorry, but that’s an unfortunate picture. I have a lovely daughter. If she were dressed like that, I’d suggest she put something more modest on. V’s wife.

Kennedy should just go buy a bottle of Jack Daniels, go home, and snivel to himself.

Broken romance may be fueling rep’s rough Patches (Kennedy)
Boston Herald ^ | 05/09/06 | Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa

Patrick Kennedy is carrying a torch for a now-married ex-galpal and his broken heart may be the reason he’s gone off the rails, friends say.

“He’s lonely,” said one of Patches’ Rhode Island pals. “He’s a mess, and it’s really sad. It really is.”

Word is that Patches pines for his ex, Tatiana Platt, an America Online exec he dated for more than a year until she left him for her now-hubby, renowned architect Campion Platt.

We hear that Tatiana has been defending her former paramour, saying the Rhode Island congressman has gotten a “bad rap” after a suspicious car accident last week. Kennedy plowed his Ford Mustang into a Capitol Hill security barrier at 2:45 a.m. Thursday. He subsequently checked himself into the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for rehab.

Kennedy said he is battling an addiction to prescription drugs. But a waitress at a Capitol Hill bar said he was drinking before the accident.

Capitol Police officers, who suspected that Kennedy, 38, was drunk, claim he was given special treatment. A superior told them to skip the field sobriety test and Kennedy was then driven home. Patches claims he has no memory of the incident, blaming a combination of the sleeping pill Ambien and the gastrointestinal drug Phenergan.

“He’s all screwed up,” said the Rhode Island pal. “He really needs to get away from everything for about six months and deal with this.”

Word is, Patrick’s family was extremely fond of Tatiana and hoped that he would marry her. A brainy ex-CIA spook who speaks six languages, Tatiana was thought by the Kennedys to bea good influence on Patrick.

The romance began in the spring of 2003 when Tatiana turned up on Patrick’s arm at the opening of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery of Art.

He then brought her to a fund-raiser at cousin Anthony Shriver’s Miami digs to meet the rels and they hit it off so famously that Tatiana chaired a Best Buddies benefit at Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s house in Maryland.

But she reportedly fell for her husband, a dashing ex-male model, while she was dating Kennedy - a blow the congressman apparently never recovered from.

Friends say Kennedy’s mother’s battle with alcoholism is also taking a toll and that he is “genuinely concerned” for her well-being. He also reportedly is not close to his brother, Ted Jr., or sister Kara although the three took temporary guardianship of Joan Kennedy after she was found sprawled on a Boston sidewalk in the rain, and was hospitalized with a concussion and a broken shoulder.

“He’s really not a bad guy,” said our spy. “In fact, he’s a really sweet guy. He just feels like he’s all alone. It’s too bad.”

The people of Massachusetts weren’t joking when they pulled the lever for Brown, so the joke is on Patrick Kennedy and the rest of his accursed family.

Heard on Howie Carr this afternoon that he’d talked to Scott Brown on the phone, and Scott said he was flying home to escape the snow, then planned to drive the truck down to DC, with the family dogs. He flies coach. (Nancy Pelosi, take note.)

Brown should have ignored the little twerp.

Disagree. Brown has the attention of voters nationwide, and particularly New England. He has a great opportunity to enlighten voters of misconduct by unfit legislators.
