NEAR MARJAH, Afghanistan Helicopter-borne U.S. Marines and Afghan troops swooped down on the Taliban-held town of Marjah before dawn Saturday, launching a long-expected attack to re-establish government control and undermine support for the militants in their southern heartland.
Marine commanders say they expect anywhere between 400 to 1,000 insurgents to be holed up inside this southern Afghan town of 80,000 people in Helmand province, including more than 100 foreign fighters.

This wont make much of a difference until someone gets up the gumption to attack Pakistan to the South. Thats the real terror factory. But why not go even further back to the root of the problem, and understand that not until the foul Islamic creed is wiped from the face of the Earth, will the battle be won.

Unless an enemy has a weapon in his hands, don't fire. How's that? If he got off his 14.5mm HMG 90 seconds ago, and is on his way to the mortar out back, well, does he have an AK now or not? Not? Then no shooting.
