Rubio's crowd: Liz Cheney, Matalin, Senor (so long, Charlie)

Marco Rubio's appeal to Washington's conservative and Republican establishment will be on display this Thursday at a fundraiser for him in the offices of the lobbying and consulting firm Navigators Global.

The $500-a-head event's hosts include former Vice President Dick Cheney's daughter Liz, former Dick Cheney aide Mary Matalin, former Bush Iraq spokesman Dan Senor, consultants Alex Castellanos and Phil Anderson, and former Reps. Vin Weber and J.C. Watts.

The honorary hosts of the event, which coincides with CPAC, are leading Hill conservatives, including Sens. Jim DeMint and Jim Inhofe, and Reps. Paul Ryan, Mike Pence, and Jeff Miller. Backing Rubio in the Florida Senate race is becoming a litmus test for conservatives.

Cesar Conda, who wrote recently of switching from Crist to Rubio, organized the event.

“Mark Foley had a penchant for young boys.”

In all fairness, Foley had a penchant for young men.

He was also exonerated - no charges filed.
He was just uh paging pages lol.

Now about Crist you may be totally correct.

I would think Miami-Dade and Broward county would overwhelming choose the Rubio (blond?) over the tanned Crisp!!!

Miami-Dade, MAYBE (if the blacks and Jews don't turn out, and turn the county to the Dems as usually happens in national elections). Western Miami Dade will go solidly for Rubio.

Jews and blacks remain the two largest voting blocks in the People's Republic of Broward, despite shifting demographics (read a huge increase in folks from the Carribbean and Latin America) over the past 15 years. If the local GOP can register enough anti-Chavez Venezuelans and pro-Uribe Colombians, maybe we have a chance in Broward.

Not Broward county where I currently reside( but not for long). Broward is full of the most vile disgusting liberals on the face of the earth......they worship obama, chavez, castro, algore, stalin and so on.

Ive heard but not confirmed there are 22 normal people in Broward county.

Rubio is solid. An endoresment from the huckster or any of his slime followers is not needed nor welcome.

“They should keep Matalin away from Rubio. She is a jinx, if not a spy.”

I won’t disagree with that. This is the guy that worries me...

“Cesar Conda, who wrote recently of switching from Crist to Rubio, organized the event.”

This guy is one of the biggest open border advocates out there. He did his share to destory prop 187 in California.
He was Cheney’s domestic policy advisor (ie..amnesty)before he went to work for George Soros.

From what I can find, Rubio appears to be for enforcement/against amnesty, but I have to wonder what he’s doing tied into Conda.

I met Mary Matalin last year at a non-political venue. She is an absolute defender of VP Cheney and is one of his staunchest supporters. She spoke passionately from-the hip. Maybe you should be more impressed. (Despite Serpent-head).

Lets both ask him.
