There have been some tense moments during today's health care summit at Blair House, but not for Vice President Joe Biden, it seems.

Just moments before the afternoon session got under way, C-SPAN's cameras picked up audio of Biden chatting casually with participants.

"It's easy being vice president — you don't have to do anything."

Whoever Biden was chatting with said, "It's like being the grandpa and not the parent."

"Yeah, that's it!" replied Biden.

I guess that's why there is so much waste and corruption in the "stimulus" money after Obama put Biden in charge and said "nothing gets past Sheriff Joe". Well, Sheriff Joe is asleep at the wheel. Biden is Obama's Barney Fife...sadly Obama doesn't have the sense of Sheriff Andy Taylor...he didn't insist that Biden keep his bullet in his shirt pocket.

The fact is, Stand Up Joe spoke a basic truth, his only Constitutional duties are to preside over the Senate, vote in the event of a tie, or succeed the President in the event of death, disability or impeachment.

So far, it appears that he’s done an ok job presiding over the Senate, I’m still hoping we get to see how he does with those other yet-to-be-assumed responsibilities, lol
