Dont expect this to make any headlines. The arrested rightwing extremist is a democrat. This is just one more rushed judgement from people like the Southern Poverty law Center. Just because someone trains with weapons and they are not law enforcement or military, they are labeled as militia members when in reality, the Hutaree was a fundamentalist Christian militant group. This is a far cry from Constitutional militias and watchdogs. I find it highly amusing that one of those arrested and touted across mainstream media for a week is an active, voting Democrat.
Liberals in the media have been busy parading around Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center to bash the right. As befits his organizations MO, Potok, has done the best he can to link recently-arrested militia members to the Tea Party movement and conservatism generally.
Potoks job may have just gotten a bit harder, and the liberal media may need to find another way to discredit their political opponents. It turns out most of the militiamen were active voters, and at least one was a registered Democrat. Party registrations for the rest are not yet known.
The Blade, a newspaper in Toledo, Ohio reported today:
Most of the indicted militia members accused of being anti-government extremists have active voting records, a check with area voter registration offices showed yesterday.
One is a registered Democrat, and the party affiliations of the rest could not be determined.
Jacob J. Ward, 33, of Huron, Ohio, voted as a Democrat in the 2004 and 2008 primary elections. He also voted in 10 other elections since 2000. Party affiliation in Ohio is determined by which partys ballot they requested in the most recent primary election.
The MOST RECENT primary election....? The Presidential primary.
JUPITER, Fla. A pair of explosive devices was found outside a Jupiter Farms home Tuesday afternoon, officials with the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office said.
Deputies were called to the home on Winterhawk Trail after a homeowner reported finding two suspicious devices about 1 p.m.
By the time deputies arrived, one of the devices detonated, but the other did not.
Four homes in the neighborhood were evacuated until the bomb squad could inspect the devices.
Officials did not say what the devices were or how they got there.
Don't know what is up with this yet.
American-Born Cleric Added to Capture-or-Kill List, Called 'Terrorist No. 1'
April 6, 2010
The radical Muslim cleric tied to suspects in both the Fort Hood shooting and failed Christmas Day bombing has become a key terror target, with a top member of Congress calling him "terrorist number one" and officials confirming he's been added to a list that would allow U.S. operatives to capture or kill him.
Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif., called Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen believed to be in Yemen, "terrorist number one" at an intelligence conference Tuesday.
"He is very much in the sights of the Yemenis, with us helping them," said Harman, chairwoman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence.
A U.S. government official told Fox News that al-Awlaki, wanted for his role with Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, was added to the capture-or-kill target list back in January.
So what stopped them?
Thanks for the updates.

Snips: It is clear, however, that the government of the United Socialist States of America no longer considers the Constitution to be anything it should pay attention to. It may in fact be intentionally ignoring this issue in the hopes that some of our more ardent patriots will attempt to take action on their own -- giving the administration an excuse to "crack down on violent militia groups" and push through a repeal of the Second Amendment.
A busload of Chinese tourists cruising along an isolated mountain road in southwestern Colombia looked suspicious to Colombian cops with good reason. Police who stopped the northbound bus at a checkpoint on the Panamerican Highway south of Popayan on Monday found the 30 "tourists" to be illegal immigrants trying to make their way to the United States.
Snip: Though the owner, David E. Tash, was not present, his son Andrew Tash was on site, along with 27 other people who lived there. Various locations throughout the home were converted into sleeping quarters, including two basement apartments, which did not meet Town standards for egress, ceiling height, or smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
This past weekend my wife and I visited the Coronado National Forest near Portal, Arizona. While there we came upon an official USDA Forestry Service sign that stated:

Bolivian President Evo Morales on Sunday confirmed that during a recent meeting with Russian Prime Minister Putin in Venezuela he asked for a greater Russian presence in Latin America and especially in Bolivia.
An apparent coup bid by army mutineers in this tiny nation, widely viewed as Africa's first narco-state, has heightened concerns that South American drug lords are expanding their power in a region where poverty and political upheaval is the norm.
Snips: ICE apprehended illegal aliens from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The gangs involved were Surenos, Bloods, M Zone Rydas and Sugar Loaf Clique 31.
Last month, The Asheville Citizen Times reported that police had arrested illegal aliens Cruz Mario Carnacion, 37 and Jose Luis Trejo-Yanez for stealing railroad spikes from tracks owned by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. At the time of their arrest, the two had more than 500 stolen spikes in their possession. The removal of the spikes could have resulted in a serious train accident. In August 2008, ICE agents arrested 57 illegal aliens working at Mills Manufacturing Corporation (MMC) in Asheville. All of those arrested were using erroneous Social Security numbers. MMC is a Defense contractor and manufactures parachutes for the U.S. military
Snip: Authorities in Roane County have broken up what appears to be a human smuggling operation, moving 18 illegal immigrants in a stolen van.
Snip: It has come to light that on Feb. 3, 2010, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Neal McBride, ordering him not to seek the death penalty against three illegal alien gang members charged with robbing and murdering a man in Virginia last summer. All three defendants are members of the notoriously violent Salvadoran gang known as MS-13.
Shortly after Liu Yans four-year-old son, Liu Yi, was bitten by a dog, he did what any responsible parent would do: took his child to the hospital for a vaccination. Two weeks later, after the fourth injection, Liu Yi became violently ill. The next morning, on Aug. 27, 2008, the boy was taken to First Peoples Hospital in Yangquan city in central Chinas Shanxi province, where he was diagnosed with viral meningitis. Liu Yis condition quickly deteriorated and he died later that afternoon. Liu Yan blamed the rabies vaccination for his sons death, and according to a searing media report last month, he might not be alone.

No Explosives Found in Denver Flight Scare
A diplomat from Qatar is arrested on a United Airlines flight after he apparently attempted to smoke in the plane’s bathroom. Initial reports suggested the man was trying to detonate a “shoe bomb.”

Here's a handy list for you to consult before you post any published material.
If for some reason you forget to bookmark that link, we have that same link posted near the top of Admin Moderator 's profile page.
Again, sorry for any inconvenience this causes you on this very long thread. We would like to prevent any legal problems and fend off any copyright infringement lawsuits.
Thank you for your understanding.
Excellent discovery TW, Thank you!
Well, one thing he sure wasn’t a Sandal (shoes) bomber! Who was the moron Marshall that declared him setting sandals afire?!
That article might exist somewhere on some foreign site, or may have been reposted somewhere else, but the original and published writer Tim Townsend is employed by and writes for the St. Louis Dispatch.
The St. Louis Dispatch is a site which has imposed copyright restrictions upon Free Republic. Those restrictions require that any and all of their published material be properly attributed, a working link going to the original article on their site, and proper excerpting. Writing the words “Snippet” or “Excerpted” is not going to work.
Unfortunately your post will now have to be removed.
Please properly attribute and excerpt according to all of Free Republic’s copyright rules, for each of the hundreds of articles you post in these very long threads.
If it’s this easy for us Moderators to find you bypassing all of Free Republic’s copyright restrictions, imagine how simple it would be for someone would didn’t want Free Republic to remain open to find them.
Just a link and a few sentences from sites which allow excerpts will work. Thanks.
~Looks like a lil wombat
For any articles which you would like to remain posted on Free Republic, please use working links which go to the original site of publication; properly attribute all excerpted articles; excerpt each article according to Free Republic's copyright restrictions and do not post from any sites which forbid their material to be posted on Free Republic.
Please help us help Free Republic avoid any lawsuits brought about by copyright infringement issues.
Thank you for you cooperation.
I had a problem with my tiny url command for 2 days, it is corrected
Just use real and working complete links which go to the source of the original published material. Thanks.
Those fake links you have been posting were not tiny url links. Try again.
Question, why does the AP and others run Brown Lloyd and James as a law firm making a statement he has been released?
I thought they were a PR firm.
They did the NIAC/Trita Parsi cover-up and have press plants here.
Someone correct me on their legal expertise or links re: cases.
FYI, other news up during M. Yacoub al Madadi incident last night:

FYI, thirty minutes ago FAM MacLean was on Fox re: incident, he said the marshal (not plural), went textbook, good work (hmm).
Asked why the low altitude during the last 40 minutes of the flight under escort if there was no problem, he said procedure.
You remember MacLean was the whistleblower that publicized no marshals on flights for two months due to hotel costs way back, eventually fired in ‘06. Petitioned with a whistleblowers group March of last year to Obama (including former drug enforcement agents, others), and somehow got re-hired?
I thought they were still talking about this in September of last year and even if protections were warranted it wouldn’t be retroactive re: getting their jobs back.
Someone post on this if they have expertise.
By the way, all sandal references have gone poof re: ABC/NBC/AP links.
It would be nice if someone cached it.
Thank you for your thoughtful note. Protecting FR from copyright infringement is priority #1.
Could the administrators make a new copyright list please?
I have the copyright list bookmarked, and I checked it before I posted. I just checked it again, and I still do not see 9news Denver Colorado on the list (under Colorado?)-—unless WUSA 9.com (under Washington) is the same entity? I am not disputing that it is restricted -—only that the list may not be up to date.
Also missing from the list is Daily Mail UK (a common source Freepers use), which I know from memory is restricted, but other Freepers may not. If I am not mistaken, I think AP (unless Associated Press is the same as Associated Content?), Business Insider, Deseret news.com are also restricted, but are not listed.
As we know the list will only grow and not shrink, please help us Freepers adhere to the necessary copyright policies by updating the list.
Copyright infringement is a serious issue, now more than ever, and we Freepers want to avoid burdening the Admin Mods by compounding what is already a difficult job.
Yeah, what stopped them???
Seems like you are on to something, Veritas
Thank you for the links Veritas, glad to see you posting here -g-

Diplomat Who Touched Off Bomb Scare Was on Way to Visit Jailed Terrorist
A Qatari diplomat was on his way to meet an imprisoned Al Qaeda agent when he touched off a bomb scare by slipping into an airline bathroom for a smoke, officials said Thursday as they announced plans to send the diplomat home.
Diplomatic Immunity for Midair-Scare Envoy: Is It Right?
A diplomat from Qatar joked about lighting his shoes on fire while trying to sneak a smoke aboard a Denver-bound flight Wednesday night, sparking a scare that sent fighter jets scrambling — but diplomatic immunity prevents officials from seeking charges. Should he be expelled, or sent home?
I posted this on another thread, but will add here also. (This info was in post 1368).
IMHO, Theres something more to this...were just not being told...
So do I. One passenger gave an interview shortly after the incident and reported that Al-Madadi was going back and forth to the bathroom multiple times. A flight attendant spoke to him, but he did not stop his visits to the bathroom. It was then that the flight attendant notified the air marshal, who then confronted Al-Madadi.
To my knowledge this passenger (Steve Cantrill) was only interviewed by one reporter. I have not seen his account printed anywhere else.
I posted several excerpts from this article shortly after the story hit the press last night, but the post was pulled due to copyright restrictions. I saved the article, but the link now displays an entirely different updated article on Al-Madadi and the subsequent actions taken by officials.
So...there does appear to be more to the story...but what?
