I left there (escaped!) in 1991. It was open then.
One of my most favorite memorabilia I have is a picture of South Parking and the Pentagon in a rear view mirror. Everyone I worked with there signed it.

Suspicious packages were found at the Metro station soon after, forcing it and the adjacent bus bay to close, according to the transit agency.A bomb squad was called out while Pentagon Force Protection Agency investigated the shooting above ground.
