Well, we know it’s not some DC resident packing. They have laws against that sort of thing.

For those not familiar with the Pentagon, it has an undeground Metrorail station that used to feed passengers directly from the station platform to an underground entrance to the Pentagon.
That entrance was walled off years ago and Metro passengers must exit the station above ground and use one of the other building entrances.
The Pentagon Metro station is served by the Blue and Yellow lines.

Fox 5 in D.C. has this:
3 Shot Outside Pentagon Metro Station
FOX 5 has learned that three people have been injured in a shooting outside the entrance to the Pentagon Metro station.
Few details were immediately available, but three people who were injured in the shooting were taken to George Washington University Hospital's emergency room, officials said. The Metro station was closed.
