Sarah Palin to turn her hand to making television documentaries
The Times of London ^ | March 5, 2010 | Tim Reid

Posted on 03/04/2010 9:37:34 PM PST by EveningStar

She may have failed to become America’s vice-president but Sarah Palin’s transformation into a successful public figure has taken a fresh twist, as she tries her hand as a television documentary maker...

Sources close to Mrs Palin yesterday denied initial reports that the putative idea was a reality series featuring her and her family. They said instead that it would be a documentary, which she would produce, about the people, wildlife and geography of the state of which she was governor until quitting abruptly in July last year...

Just a little tip, Miz Sarah. Don’t call this Alaska travelogue a “reality show” or you’ll get an audience looking for something quite different from what you have in mind.

She can call it whatever she wants to. The Palindrones will follow her wherever she goes, including off the nearest cliff.

This Documentary was actually Mark Burnett’s idea, he is the one that went to Sarah Palin and asked her opinion about it to which she was very excited about the idea of having Alaska be featured in a documentary

I really don’t see any problem in this documentary. I’m looking forward to it. Alaska is a beautiful place. My mother was born and raised there.

I’d love to learn more about Alaska. If this documentary actually ends up airing, I would watch it for sure. If Sarah wants to help promote her state, good for her, it would be good for the Alaskan economy, the more people who visit there the better and this would be one way of getting more people to become interested in seeing Alaska and its magnificent beauty. What stuck in my crawl was how some referred to this as a “reality show” I admit, when I first read it yesterday, I was stunned, I could not believe that she would want to be on a reality show, but after reading published reports from Burnett himself, now I understand what this is all about and it sounds like a wonderful idea. I hope it happens

This moniker might have been pushed on her effort by a completely hostile pressdroid who knows people are going to think about Bristol and Levi.

Not all reality shows are purely voyeuristic. Some can also be informative.

If this happens, it will probably be a short term series - on cable. But if it’s good, who cares?

I’m not a Sarahbot, but a good series about Alaska would be terrific.

I agree. I’ve never been to Alaska, I would love to visit there one day. It’s just a pitched idea, but I hope that its successful.

This might be the 10,000th article on this topic, but WTH, this is FR.

The Palin investigation began when she was nominated as VP. All of this is the continuation of that initial surge of reporters that was sent to Alaska and found nothing. They are still looking for something. They will report every action, not only by her, but by every family member, and every person who has anything to do with her, in the hope that they will find the evidence they are looking for.

They have had great success with other people who carry an “R” after their name, getting them to abandon their principles, convincing them how they should feel about issues of the day, telling them they can’t win as conservatives. It won’t work on Sarah Palin.

Her exposure on venues like the Tonight Show and FoxNews and her new Alaska project will improve her image. The Alaska TV show will numb the resignation criticism. She said she could do more good for Alaska on the outside than she was being allowed to as governor. This will prove it.

And the 10,001st article, no doubt critical, will cause even more people to follow her every move and hopefully learn that the media has lied to them again.

Why do you feel the NEED to make a flippant remark about conservative Sarah and those that want a conservative president? Why do you feel it is NEEDED on a conservative site?

If you can get a combination cruise and land tour, that would be great. And you can take side trips up to the Arctic Circle. You will need special clothing - even when it’s not Winter. In the Winter it reaches -100.
