Health Care About To Go down In Flames

Listen to Gizzi's forecast that this is going down in flames. Don't be afraid to believe it because it is happening ending in total failure for the democrats.

Glad to see about half of the people here have not bought the head fake yet that this is a done deal! It ain’t over and these desperate, wounded, proud, pathetic, haters of Free Enterprise will not give up. IF they fail to pass this with some trick they will come back again and again even if they have to do it piecemeal. But,look for a “fix” on the abortion language by a separate piece of legislation to buy the “pro-life” democrats. Yes, and oxymoron. You can not seriously be pro-live and a deathnocrat.

I heard David Horowitz on Glenn Beck radio show this morning and he said it is very probable there will be violence on the left the the hc bill does not pass as the left is in an unholy alliance with terror groups and they will be very angry.

According to the guy talking at the link Nancy calims to have converted 10 who voted no the first time into yes votes. I wish we knew who they were so we could apply some constituent pressure.

Agreed. But the key phrase is "Nancy claims". She also "claims" there is no language in the bill that provides federal funding for abortion and yet it says it right there on page 2069.

Perhaps the reason we don't know the names of these "10" is because they only exist in Nancy's brain (or lack thereof).

I would urge people to call or contact the dozen congressmen even if you’re not in their district and tell them: “Two words, Congressman: MONEY BOMB! I will be contributing to the full extent allowable to your opponent in the primary and so will my spouse and my children”. Or just simply say: “Scott Brown”. This is what I do because my congressman is one of the good guys.

Now is the time to all stand up and ask the question: “Who is Obama, we want to know?”

That is the whole point. Ego for the sake of ego has a characteristic that it always creates its own failure. I hope the democrats never give up because they are in a perpetual zone of diminishing returns. The harder they now try to accomplish this, the more failure, after failure, after failure comes.

They remind me of 60’s hippies who want to live the glory days again but they are prisoners of their minds and cannot accomplish anything any longer.

We have to egg them on to try harder and harder and harder and they will only meet failure, after failure, after failure.

You don’t give up the fight but you realize that they are prisoners of themselves and they are self destructing. Nice.

However, it's a fact that the left doesn't like this bill either.

They are furious about the mandate to buy insurance and "prop up the corporate health companies".

DU is good evidence...they are not thrilled by this bill.

Violence from their side would be in keeping with being jinxed by a wave of failure. Violence would justify throwing them in jail or prosecuting them and would marginlize them. Bring it on!

You’re probably right. She might claim to have 10 to put pressure on holdouts by asking them “do you want to be the one who sinks the President’s agenda”.

Great idea. Call and say Scott Brown or Money Bomb for your primary opponent. I think the Scott Brown one is simpler. I like it.

People need to at least call and fax their representative and the ones neighboring their district.

No, I would not hold my breath. Bunning could not muster even one republican to stand with him. I thought Jim Demint was tough but he would only agree with Bunning to TV cameras, not on the Senate floor. Are they listening at all?

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.
