Reid Remarks Intensify Spat With High-Court Conservatives
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 03-10-10 | JESS BRAVIN

WASHINGTON -- Long-simmering resentment between the conservative Supreme Court and the Democratic Congress and White House approached a boil Wednesday, as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid criticized Chief Justice John Roberts and his fellow conservatives for striking down limits on corporate political spending.

"Do you think John Roberts knows or cares how people get elected?" the Nevada Democrat said at a meeting of liberal bloggers. With all nine justices having been drawn from the lower courts, the Supreme Court lacks understanding of the practical impact of its decisions, Mr. Reid said, according to the Web site Huffington Post.

A spokesman for Mr. Reid, Jim Manley, confirmed the remarks and added that the majority leader strongly backed President Barack Obama's push for legislation requiring corporations to disclose their political spending and imposing other regulations.

The Socialist FDR and his Socialist Democrat Congress minions were big on criticizing the Supreme Court especially as it struck down more and more of their Socialist giant government agenda. The FDR Supreme Court reorganization attempt was designed to make the Supreme Court an appendage of the Democrat Party ... House Democrats stopped the SC reorganization bill.

And later -- Most of FDR's socialist agenda was gutted by the Supreme Court.

The more history changes, the more likely it's just repeating -- Note the kids ring around the FDR. With these Oppressives it's all about the children, didn't you know? Stalin would call the people who were conned with promised freebies to vote for their own imprisonment, useful idiots. The very same types Chavez uses in his socialist paradise of Venezuela where a country of 28 million has a higher murder rate than the USA with near 10x the population. I am sure they are murdered for a good cause. Hardly any of the crimes are solved in Venezuela, do you think that is by design?

One of the more obscure things about FDR, the NAACP thought his election would end lynching, which was carried out by Democrat operatives for the most part. FDR refused.

Democrats taking cold shower after FDR died -- WOW, that was really bad -- The dead body of FDR was just barely in his grave when the 22nd amendment was passed preventing more than two presidential terms. I wonder why the Oppressives don't like to bring that point up when talking about FDR and his New Deal social justice crapola?

Read the history of FDR and his New Deal, it's very informative when talking about our new dear reader "social justice" Oppressive president.

Lessee now, the Commiecrats offended/dissed the following powerhouses:

1- The CIA/FBI
2- Israel/Mossad
3- The US military
4- The UK/MI6
5- SCOTUS.......and above all, most Americans!

I find it remarkable that 0b0z0 and his thugs aren’t afraid of eventually going to jail.

Maybe, Judge Roberts and the rest of the conservative judges will find one, just one, citizen or entity that has STANDING!

It’s about time to toilet-train 0kaka by dumping him and his thugs in the toilet they belong!

Excellent post. Finding and demonizing a boogeyman is the oldest rat trick in the book. Newt’s gone, DeLay is gone, Rove is gone - - they failed miserably with Rush and Palin - - so now maybe it’s John Roberts? If so, they are more desperate than I thought.

Anyway, in Robert’s case it’s not about impeachment, it’s about the next Ubanga nominee.

Interesting remark coming from one of those who would nullify the power of our elections by inserting language into a bill stating that it can never be repealed.

Filthy Harry Reid isn't just the best argument for term limits, he's the best argument for ALWAYS using protection when utilizing a public toilet.

Maybe the court will open "discovery" on the "birth certificate" case and then we'll find out how obama got elected.

Exactly, then they can cry the SC is bias against Obama.

Look how all of a sudden its cool to be a 9-11 truther. They are stirring the fires, you see it all as plain as day.

"majority leader strongly backed President Barack Obama's push for legislation requiring corporations to disclose their political spending and imposing other regulations."

Does this include the SEIU and other unions that support the RATS?

This makes me wonder if Mr. Reid was born without a sense of irony or if he had it surgically removed.

I find it interesting that he singled out the ENTIRE SCOTUS, even the “wise Latina.” That could work against him and his friends eventually.

"Exactly, then they can cry the SC is bias against Obama. "

Well, it depends on what the "truth" is...IF it turns out that obama isn't really eligible to be the pResident, then that accused "bias" is good for the country.

Besides, it is the normal business of the court to accept appeals in various court cases; if some industrious lawyer would push one up there soon, it might be looked at as something the SC should investigate.

just sayin'

Maybe “friends” is the wrong term. How about “ideological associates whom he would throw into a plastic shredder were his political survival and/or personal gain at stake”?

"Do you think John Roberts knows or cares how people get elected?"

This just shows the ignorance and self-centeredness of Reid and the Poseur. Chief Justice John Roberts (and the majority) could give a flying fig about this Harry. They look to the Constitution and our laws to make these decisions which are their responsibility according to that same Constitution!

Dingy Harry exposes his ignorance ... again. Harry, it's not all about you!

Just sent him a post card
You: Do you think John Roberts knows or cares how people get elected.
ME: Hey, Harry Reid - why don’t you READ the Constitution before you open your mouth and stick your foot in it?
READ the Constitution, Harry!

Yes, signed and my return address.

Harry Reid may have been a boxer in his former days. Right now, he’s a bully. And you know what we do to bullies?
