White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs expressed confidence Sunday that the House will pass a Senate version of health insurance reform that is tied up by lawmakers doubtful that the Senate bill can be fixed after it's signed into law.

"I think there's growing momentum in Congress that we can't do nothing," Gibbs told "Fox News Sunday."

Administration officials are on full-court press to push forward the legislation. Republican Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, a former Illinois representative, wrote an op-ed that appeared Sunday urging Congress to pass President Obama's plan, claiming that more than 40 million Americans lack access to care.

“I think there’s growing momentum in Congress that we can’t do nothing,”

A modest, even tepid, defense of the ill-colored lunchmeat that is ObamaCare. Not exactly the confidence of William Tecumseh Sherman there, Bob.

They want to put 40 million people (illegals included) on Medicaid rolls at the expense of everyone else that pays for their own insurance or has it as a benefit of their job.
Keep in mind, this will include every drug dealer, pimp, prostitute, pedophile, parolee, etc.

The Tea Party better show up in D.C. this week or it’s over. People around D.C. need to shut the damn place down.

“Momentum is Growing”, a common term in NewSpeak, can easily be translated into English. The translation: “We don’t have the votes”.

Wow what’s to account for the “growing momentum” in Congress when the opposite movement is growing among the people? Better and better bribes and arm-twistings?

If this mess passes, especially by some parliamentary trick, members of Congress better don flak vests when they come home for the Easter recess.

Well what a shock! Momentum just happens to be growing right before the deadline set weeks ago for the vote... And oddly enough, my check of the RealClearPolitcs.com poll average shows virtually no change in the approval level for healthcare. Perhaps he meant to say nomentum...

I really hope you are right. I hope this gets soundly beaten. Beaten so bad it will never again raise it’s ugly head.

Exactly. I hear AxelDork this AM and the same tepid stock answer.."Well we can't sit around and do nothing, the President...blah, blah, 40 million, blah, blah, insurance companies, blah, blah" Has an actual vote been scheduled? I have scoured the net and found nothing, all I hear is sound bites and continued braggadocio and puffery on the chances of it passing. Talk about grandstanding, Fraulein Pelosi telling members not to leave and the messiah postponing his Jihad vacation with is progeny and the transsexual.

There has been growing momentum to reject the Senate bill from the American people.

If this thing passes then the GOP will take over the House and Senate in just a few months and Obama will be an instant lame duck.
I will be curious how the Rats will explain to 85% of the American people why their premiums didn't decrease if this things gets shoved down our throats.
I also want to see them explain to the American people why pedophiles are getting free healthcare at the expense of taxpayers.

Voting them out is only the first step.

If my guess is correct, the bribes these guys'll be getting will ensure that losing their seats will come as no loss.

We have to watch every single Rep to see where they go. Who hires them. Who's paying them. What they got for their votes.

The DOJ won't investigate, so folks at the state level will have to find a way to conduct investigations, impanel grand juries, and hand out subpoenae.

We will have to hound these folks even after they leave office.

Tanslation: They’re TRYING to build momentum to pass the bill. All I’ve heard in the news all week has been “Bandwagon 101” cheerleading by the MSM and the Dimocrats.
