IIRC it applies to the Amish community.
Maybe Amish, and Christian Scientists? The Muslims will probably claim applicability, here, too. Still, the relevant section does not seem to be in the bill. Maybe it’s an IRS code section?
Sounds like they will be requiring healthcare providers to have LEED certified buildings. Millions of dollars to the ‘green jobs’ Obama promised.
I just called my congressman about this crap. His office just said that they were unaware of this non-healthcare issue and it’s something he’s going to raise.
“15 (2) GREEN SCHOOL REQUIREMENT”
It’s a lot more than the insurance buildings.
Just heard about that on Laura Ingraham. Michelle Malkin was on with her and they were on fire!
This bill is full of pork!!!! The LEED certification will be promoted as the ‘job creation’ aspect of the bill.
If this bill passes, the Constitution is forfeit. Americans, we must stand up and fight them. With litigation, and physically if necessary. They will understand nothing else.

In 1961, the United States Internal Revenue Service announced that since the Amish refuse Social Security benefits and have a religious objection to insurance, they need not pay these taxes. In 1965, this policy was codified into law.[80] Self-employed individuals in certain sects do not pay into, nor receive benefits from, United States Social Security, nor do their similarly-exempt employees. Internal Revenue Service form 4029 grants this exemption to members of a religious group that is conscientiously opposed to accepting benefits of any private or public insurance, provides a reasonable level of living for its dependent members and has existed continuously since December 31, 1950.

it’s in the IRS code. The health care bill apparently neglected to reference it properly, or I missed the reference. In any case here it is.
Exc4llent question, Son! An obvious exposure of Democrat deceit, and misdirection.
You’re kidding right?
I have called my two democract Represenitives from Ga. and voiced my concern over the Health Care Bill. They are both considered moderates and have voted No, when it has come up before. I was told there is no bill yet...So WTH. I’m really confused.
A lot of the “no bill yet” talk is the built-in cover releasing these bills at the last moment provides. Well the reconciliation bill text is out now and you can push them on that.
It’s my understanding that the actual ‘bill’ will not exist until they have passed the empty ‘shell’ of the ‘bill’. They plan to fill it with whatever they want after the vote...therefore, at this point, no bill exists. Anyone else understand it this way?
Well, I will be happy to be the first plaintiff. I am not participating in any scheme in which my money pays into an insurance program that funds abortion, and I will claim this religious exemption.
