No. Should I be thrashed for being confused about this? Is it common knowledge and I’m a dunderhead?
>I wonder how long before the guys and gals in the Military wake up to this and stop re-upping. (Or.....maybe they already have start
I know I did.
Is this Health Care monster also a VIOLATION of the Federal HIPAA LAWS?
age-appropriate health education services
.............
ABORTION couseling?
BFL
Physically and immediately, carried to the curb. Or maybe shipped off to Iran.
Folks,
Republicans can easily destroy the “health care reform” bill right now; if they will but repeatedly and emphatically declare:
IT WILL KILL OUR STRUGGLING ECONOMY.
If every prominent Republican who attends a presser or gives an interview emphasizes that one crystallized point; the political pressure and citizenry push-back against wavering Democrats in the House will be enormous and irresistible.
ECONOMY KILLER equals JOBS KILLER. And the case can easily and succinctly be made that this new, massively unfunded entitlement will require massive new taxes while hobbling the medical industry. That’s obviously an economy killer. As unpopular as this piece of crap bill is, it can immediately be made much more so with simple clarion emphasis regarding its destructiveness to the American economy.
The American people already hate what the bill stands for (the substance of the bill) as well as they hate the corrupt process that has produced it. Now it needs to be branded into the national psyche that the bill will obviously cause long-term, personal financial pain for everyone.
This reads like some insane liberal wet dream. IT DOESN’T FIX A THING!
One of my favorites is cutting-off federal money to any medical school that does not admit students on a strict affirmative action basis. I know the failure rate of affirmative law school graduates before the bar is very high. I wonder if that will also be the case of passing the medical boards to practice.
Truly, truly frightening.
Does anyone know if there IS a section 1402(g)(1) in the Health Care Bill?
Health Bill H.R. 3200, Religious Conscience Exemption and sect. 1402
http://www.pajamahadin.com/?p=1376
However, note that in not finding Section 1402(g)(1), I was able to find this:
The origins of the hijra calendar are recorded as having begun in AD 1402 on the Gregorian Calendar, so that the equivalent beginning of the hijra year 1 corresponds to 1402 in the Gregorian calendar:
“1402 A.H. began with the Lunation No. 728 in October 1981.
A conversion of Hijra years into the Gregorian calendar may be made using the following relationship:-
Christian Era (A.D.) = 621.54 + (Hijra in years and decimals) X 0.970225 “
http://home.pacific.net.sg/~makhdoom/calend2.html
There are references, but, nothing beyond a reference to IRS code that I can find, although there is language in the Health Care bill, as there has been for some time:
171
J. 55345
1 sion thereof described in section 1402(g)(1) and
2 an adherent of established tenets or teachings
3 of such sect or division as described in such sec4
tion.
5 (B) EXEMPTION.An application for the
6 exemption described in subparagraph (A) shall
7 be filed with the Secretary at such time and in
8 such form and manner as the Secretary may
9 prescribe. Any such exemption granted by the
10 Secretary shall be effective for such period as
11 the Secretary determines appropriate.
Also, I am curious about this fatwa:
“Organ Donation
Date: 4/Aug/2002
Question: What does Islam say about organ donation during life or after death? Is this allowed in Islam?
Mufti: Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi
In his response to the question, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, former president of the Islamic Society of North America, states the following:
This question is very much debated by the jurists in past two decades. The Supreme Council of Ulama in Riyadh (in their resolution no. 99 dated 6 Dhul Qidah 1402) has allowed both organ donation and organ transplantation in the case of necessity.
The organ can be taken from the body of a living person with his/her consent and approval and also from the body of a dead person. In the case of a living person, the jurists have stipulated that this donation should not deprive him/her of vital organs. It should also not cause risk to his/her normal life.”
I have it in the back of my mind that you have to be dyslexic about Section 1402(g)(1) and turn the numbers around, so that a g becomes a 9, etc. Like in reverse.
Written by SEIU and Marxist lawyers. The language is foreign to me.
I can’t think of a better legal eagle than Mark Levin:
Constitution Butchers: Stop Pelosis Slaughter House
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2470945/posts?page=2
Levin: And do you want to know why? Because this clause goes to the heart of this Republic ... This is one of the most exacting clauses in the Constitution ...
Further, while not a lawyer, I am convinced that congress is constitutionally limited by “enumeration”. Apparently newbies need to be educated about that, because two ganged up on Man50D for mentioning enumeration [another thread].
Here is why “enumerated powers” is so important:
Bill of Rights, Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
