Prayers for their loved ones. Very sad.
So very sad.
This happened not far from me. It was an ugly wreck.
Prayers for the family.
Is the inside lane the “fast” or “slow” lane?
Fast lane. There is a big hill there and I imagine the vicitms didn’t see the truck until right before impact.
I read an article several years ago that said a person should always drive in the most right-hand lane possible. Drunks driving on freeways will almost always stay in the slow lane. If they are driving the wrong direction on the freeway, that is the fast lane going the other direction.
This is the scenario in ALMOST All wrong way crashes on freeways.
Something to keep in mind.
My dad is a truck driver. He taught me to always try to stay in the middle lane, that way you have options if you have to bail.
The left lanes are for passing. If the highway is empty, who are you passing? People ‘cruising’ in the leftmost lane, or always thinking they should be in the leftmost lane no matter their speed; is one of my pet peeves.
That being said, very sad circumstance for this young Marine and his wife. There needs to be more done to ensure than infirm and/or drunk drivers are taken off the road.
May God comfort this poor young bride at her terrible loss and hold this young Marines close until the couple’s eternal reunion.
Sad. RIP.
