The time for doing that was pre-election, too late now.

I KNOW!
I get the same reaction.
Even my hubby reads the WSJ daily and he doesn’t know half of what is going on. He won’t believe some of the things I tell him until I provide him with multiple links to credible sources on each subject. Then he is usually blown away and even angrier at our govt.
The latest enlightenment came when I introduced him to George Soros and his role in our govt.

I am with you — 40 hours of reading the bill shows the crap that is in this bill. No bill should be this large — all the pork in the bill will be outed and finally will find out what Pelosi has put in the bill to get yes votes which changes the bill so they cannot do reconciliation as it will be a different bill.

Keep stalling Repubs...the more this thing hangs in the balance, the angrier Americans get.
To: TornadoAlley3
It may be too late or may not be but it points out the fact that the people who stayed home in 2006 and 2008 to teach us a lesson are giving us this bill. Because a candidate wasn’t ‘pure’ enough for some they refused to vote for that Republican candidate and look what we have — an overwhelming number of Democrats.
Every one of the Oklahoma Reps including our Democrat is a solid NO but then we went out and voted to reelect our delegation.
My Dad always said “if you don’t vote, then you have no right to complain!”

Good. It provides two benefits.
One is that people find out what’s really in it.
And the other is that if they’re reading they’re not voting. It’s keeping them busy and from screwing up this country any more than they already have.

"They should read it on the floor of the House and Senate. Take as much time as needed. Theyve done this before....they should do it again." Since congress refuses to recognize English as this nation's official language, the bill needs to be translated and read in multiple languages.

It was my understanding there was no final bill yet. However, anything the Republicans can do to delay and call attention to the outrageous power grab is a good thing. Let them read this one and read the final one if and when it is finally released.

Every day this abomination can be delayed is a day closer to the November elections and another thousand votes turning from Blue to Red and the voters become more red-faced at the prospect of losing the health care and doctors they have been used to.
This is the party of abortion on demand, in which their argument has been "keep government out of the bedroom!". Now the message should be "keep government out of the doctor's office!".
So I'm all for it: delay, expose, and delay.

Obstruct. Subvert. Delay. Threaten. Psych out. Intimidate. Heel Drag. Object. Ridicule. Interrupt. Aikido throw. Call for Bathroom breaks and get Constipation. Run the Clock Down. Turn the furniture over in the Longworth HOB if necessary. Turn every Saul Alinsky tactic right back on thei asses. And finally, completely ROUT the Senate and House in 2010 in November. Deemocrats will have NO place to hide. The lousy so and so*s! This is nothing compared to what our heroes took on Normandy in 1944. And yet, THEY PRESSED ON.

They’ve done this stunt before, and it didn’t result in much, other than a waste of time. Oh sure. Other than delaying the bill from becoming law, NOTHING!
Delayed it long enough to get scott brown elected to force their hand on these crazy extra-constitutional methods....sure....nothing!
Damn you people. They couldn't have kept you supplied with enough ammo in Vietnam, fragging the people on the front lines like you do!
I don't see why the GOP even bothers with a "base" like us.
