The panel knows it’s not really as close as it seems. When Pelosi takes this to the floor for the final vote, she will have extra congresscritters in her pocket if she needs their votes. The question isn’t really if she can get to 216, the question is which Democrats have to vote for it and which do not.
The point is, this whole thing is nothing but a game. The Democrats, the media and the Republicans to some degree all pretty much know this. The Democrats HAVE the votes. The plugged-in media mostly know they do but want to make it a big drama for ratings purposes. The Republicans know it as well but want to make this as painful as possible as something of a deterrent.
The people rose up in Massachusetts and mucked up the Left’s original plan, but with the kind of majorities that the Democrats have there is just no way to stop some of these things. Elections matter, and sadly there are fewer and fewer producers and more and more useless eaters and leeches.

Under consideration by the House is the Senate bill and a fixer upper bill. The original House bill is dead
The senate passed a bill and it will be a approved by the house. With this action there is no need to make the old house bill and the Senate bill to be massaged in conference until there is concurrance.
Then there is a second house bill that contains the fixes, the changes, necessary to satisfy the democrats holding out ( the no votes ). It contains all the payoffs and modifies the Senate bill to make it acceptable. The ultimate passage into law depends on Senate passage and then perhaps conference. That is the Rats who don’t like the Senate bill are depending on the senate to pass the desired modifications that were previously rejected when the original senate bill rejected them.
Republicans said they will assure their 41 votes will not allow the fix to pass. That can be taken to mean the no rats are being suckered. They are accepting it anyway

Krauthammer, who is Jewish by faith (not that I am bashing the Jews in the slightest) lacks the spiritual background to grok the Christian Sarah Palin. Most Christians seem to agree they sense a special something about Sarah Palin that's the real thing, even if they do not agree with all her policies and moves.
I would rank Sarah Palin's take, whatever it is (she has not opined, but views it as an ongoing battle) over anybody on that panel.
The Left has brought on this struggle, through their ownership of the media and corrupt politicians. But they never counted on the Great Awakening underway on the right, and that ordinary citizens have begun to see the danger looming.
This fight has only just begun. Because now we are going to be fighting to preserve the Constitution and the Republic, and one way or another, they will be preserved.
And “special deels” to get vote are legal???!!!

That's a whole other issue. The Senate could make changes to the House reconciliation bill. But then it would have to go back to the House; the bill can't go the the WH for signature until both houses pass *identical* bills.
Well, at least it used to be that way. Pretty much anything goes now in the new deem-and-pass regime.
