A Maryland woman has been sentenced to life without parole for killing two adopted special-needs children and storing their bodies in a freezer so she could collect more than $150,000 in subsidies for their care.
Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Michael J. Algeo called Renee Bowman's crimes "horrific, reprehensible and despicable" and said they were the worst he had seen during his 25 years as an attorney and a judge.

This is an unintended consequence of “programs” run by an anonymous body like BIG GOVERNMENT.

This selfish murderess adopted these children for the money she new that came with them.
After she adopted them and money began to flow in she resented the work that came with caring for them; so she began to abuse them.
Too many in our socialist society come to expect that they will never have to work for the government money. This woman is also a victim of the socialist system. She has been taught by her life experience that she should not have to work.
We can only expect more of this kind of behavior as more and more children of the welfare state reach adulthood.
It sounds weird to hear that she killed them "to collect the $150K". She didn't have to kill them to collect that money. She could have, Oh, I don't know....cared for them!
