Nobody preferred him... but maybe its good now that everybody sees just how bad a marxist is for the Republic. I'm fairly certain that when McCain made that statement, he was down in the polls. I remember that day as people (in the audience) were upset with McCain for refusing to criticize Obama.

Cain is indeed a creep.....but to have him as prez would at least mean we had a patriot in the office...john kerry is a vietnam veteran . do you also consider him to be a patriot based on that fact ?

Thanks for posting this.
I remember that comment as the moment in which McCain lost the Election.
He wobbled, and didn't show that he cared who won.
Anyone who was on the fence might have been swayed by his assurance.
He basically threw away the election right then.
