Voters in the predominantly Democratic but socially conservative district long represented in Congress by the late Rep. John Murtha appear to embrace ideals of the so-called "tea party" movement that favors small government and limited spending, a new poll shows.
An apparent statistical dead heat is shaping up in the special election race to succeed Murtha between his former district director, Mark Critz of Johnstown, and Republican businessman Tim Burns of Eighty Four in Washington County.

Those voters elected a CORRUPT Creep for decades....why would they turn right now??? They won’t.
Murtha always campaigned on the jobs platform. He’d try to get some bridge or something built in his district; then say something like “With this project I will bring you (or have brought you) X jobs...my opponent will take your jobs away from you.” People fell for that krap every time.
It’s much like Detroit and many other cities that are falling apart. Their economies are swirling the bowl, but all a politician has to do is say he/she will bring jobs or that he/she has brought jobs, and the gullible people will vote that person in every time.
You’d think that after a while people would start to notice that most new companies or plants are setting up in the South or Texas and the like. But I live near Pittsburgh so I see your point. As long as the fools see a couple of crumbs from the gov’t they don’t notice that they could have steak if the gov’t got out of their lives.
We do not need to spread BS to help the Dems .

Far as I’m concerned, it should be a victory for Russell. He has worked tirelessly to unseat Murtha and almost did it. He is a core Conservative and a military hero.

Burns just won the delegate vote most becuase he could finance the special election . Russel blew all his money.

I never called Burns anything. I simply asked a question, please go back to my original post and re-read.
If you still are confused after doing this, I’d suggest that you immediately sue all of the schools and every teacher along the way that helped you to become this dumb.
