Silymarin is perhaps the only known substance that might protect the liver from destruction after a person consumes death cap mushrooms. Its toxin is so intense that people have had liver transplants after their liver was destroyed, and there is still enough toxin in their blood to destroy their new liver. Came across this post whilst looking for something else.
Jeepers sh*t.
Reminds me of Marlin Perkins ("Animal World" or "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom", can't recall which) who got bit on ONE FINGER by a Gaboon Viper, with one fang only. Nasty little critter, as it has both neurotoxic and haemotoxic venom. He spent weeks in the hospital and it was only blood transfusions which saved his life...
NO cheers, unfortunately. Stories like that are why I live in Minnesota.

Oddly enough, only one mammal, rabbits, are immune to death cap mushrooms.
Sounds like you don’t want to visit Australia, as they have a surfeit of venomous, poisonous, toxic, vicious and otherwise deadly critters.
