President Obama was dubbed not just “the commander-in-chief” as he celebrated Easter Sunday, but “our black president,” and “anointed,” too.
Per the pool report, Obama, with First Lady Michelle, children Sasha and Malia and mother-in-law Marian Robinson, attended holiday services at Washington’s Allen Chapel AME Church, where the reception was considerably more boisterous than his appearance at St. John’s Church near the White House where he marked the holiday last year.
Various speakers in the historically black church — with roots pre-dating the Civil War — praised Obama and his family, but the Rev. Michael Bell, pastor of the church, was perhaps most lavish, describing Obama as the “most intelligent, most anointed, most charismatic president of America.”
“God has His hand all over you,” Bell said. “Anyone would be foolish to come up against him.”
He described the First Lady as “his beautiful wife - TV cameras don’t do her justice.”
The church is in southeast Washington, where the community was rocked last week by an especially brutal outbreak of gun violence that left four dead and five wounded. Among the people arrested was a 14-year-old boy.
Bell said it “was no accident that he (Obama) is here in light of what happened here last Tuesday.” Obama’s attendance was “helping our community heal,” Bell said. “Mr. President, you have no idea how much your presence has meant to us today,” he said after the sermon.
Although Obama is the first African-American president, he takes pains to conduct himself as a president who happens to be black. That position has angered some African-Americans who have complained Obama is not addressing their needs.
We’ve heard of no complaints today.
Doesn’t matter a hill of beans what color he is and he lies about that; Obama should have never been elected or selected.
Actually, I am thrilled he is not claiming his white heritiage.

Why does the left constantly point to the race of the President? Why does he have to be a ‘black President’ and not just a President?
Do they refer to their friends with a darker skin tone as ‘black friends’?

I rarely hear folks on the right refer to Obama’s race. Just like they don’t refer to Michael Steele as their ‘black GOP leader’ or Condi as a ‘house n-word’?
Why is the left allowed to get away with their racist views while playing the race card so often and so emphatically?

When you have no content in your character, the only thing left to judge is the color of your skin. Yup. He's black. That's his best quality. A nice shade, too. Could do with a bit of hair color though.
So Obama finally breaks down on Easter and attends a church for the first time in a year and the pastor of the church brings out a bunch of speakers and they all give their traditional Easter message proclaiming the glory of the Messiah.
Only at this church, the Messiah is OBAMA.
He goes to church on Easter and the message from the pulpit is that Obama is the Messiah, with speaker after speaker praising Obama, and that makes you happy?
It's ok. Fearless leader was not a national socialist.
