Education Secretary Margaret Spellings and Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt address soggy visitors to the 2005 White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn Monday, March 28, 2005.

Children slip through a race with their Easter eggs during the traditional race on the South Lawn. Although rainy weather cut short the event, children and their parents made many colorful memories to brighten up a gray, gloomy day.

Jacalyn Leavitt, her husband, Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt and Education Secretary Margaret Spellings watch children run, fall and laugh as they run and slide on the South Lawn grass during the 2005 White House Easter Egg Roll.

Rain swirls with Easter egg dye to create intricate patterns on a few of the more than 10,000 eggs prepared for the 2005 White House Easter Egg Roll.

Holding a chocolate egg, two girls dress in appropriate style for the occasion. Children attending the event took part in reading corners, egg coloring, art activities, face painting and many other activities.

This is all of the Easter Egg roll photos. Unfortunately the banner for the 2004 Easter Egg roll did not work. I should have taken a screen print of it.

I will post the April 2005 photos tomorrow evening, if it's okay with everyone
