Folks, the REAL blame for the economy can be summed up in two sentences from today’s Investor’s Business Daily PageA10:
“In 1996, President Clinton’s Department of Housing and Urban Development told Fannie and Freddie that 42% of their financing had to go to those with incomes below the median.”
“By 2000, HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo proudly unveiled new regulations to provide $2.4 trillion in mortgages for affordable housing for 28.1 million families.”
Pretty much says it all.

Post about 20 anti democrat posts of yours. Lets have some fun.Well, those should be easy to find, if one is willing to wake up and smell the coffee and acknowledge that McCain is really a Rat.

In a completely unrelated story; today’s Rasmussen poll finds that 28% strongly APPROVE of the job Obama is doing as president...28% approval vs. 31% blame Bush...certainly within that well-known ‘margin of error’...

Why can't we blame Bush, Democrats in congress, Republicans in congress, Bernanke and Obama?
To: stephenjohnbanker
Calling in the posse????Well, heck yeah. If rabs decides to humor me and posts something negative about Democrats, it'll be historical. Wouldn't want anyone to miss it.
BTW, I'm glad to see you're OK. You were on my prayer list for a while a few years back, if I'm remembering correctly.

I blame him too.... but that doesn’t excuse B.Hussein O’s making it much, much, much worse.
To be honest, I think at the end, they were working “together” to create a mess, which they did.

Bush deserves his share of blame but to say that he deserves the majority of blame for the troubled economy shows an alarming lack of intelligence on the part of Americans.
Congress controls the purse-strings.
Democrats controlled both houses of Congress during the last two years right before the financial meltdown and they are still in CONTROL.

Anyone who was paying attention knows who is responsible... ------------------------------------ http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/11/03/AR2006110300370.html Jobless Rate Is Lowest Since '01 Unemployment Declines to 4.4%, Fans Inflation Fears By Nell Henderson Washington Post Staff Writer Saturday, November 4, 2006 Unemployment fell last month to the lowest level in more than five years, to 4.4 percent -- a drum-tight labor market that shows the economy remains fundamentally strong despite weak spots such as housing and manufacturing. The Labor Department said employers added 92,000 jobs in October, a modest number. But the department revised earlier estimates to show more payroll growth in August and September, for an average of 156,000 new jobs in each of the past three months. That was enough to drive unemployment down from 4.6 percent in September. Congressional Democrats are responsible.

Well, then, this is a great opportunity for Republicans running for Congress to educate the voters about the economy, and the roots of the housing and mortgage crisis. George W. Bush wasn't around when that problem began, but he was the one who had to deal with the train wreck at the end. He caught the blame for it, even though he suggested changes in the system in both 2003 and 2005, both of which were rejected by the Democrats as a bloc, helped by a few RINOS.
He was literally between a rock and a hard place, in Sept of 2008, when there was, I believe, a 'manufactured crisis', but the fix he came up with has already righted itself, because IIRC, all the money the Fed. Govt. lent to businesses in the Fall of 2008 has been paid back.
It's the Obama stimulus package, and the uncertainty businesses have about the health insurance situation, that are causing the problems in the economy, and the joblessness we see today, and those were NOT caused by George W. Bush.
