Poland in mourning as Prime Minister calls emergency meeting
Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria have been killed after their plane crashed on approach to Smolensk airport in western Russia.
There were conflicting reports today of the number of people on board the flight. Russian news agencies reported at least 88 people died in the crash near Smolensk airport in western Russia, citing the Russian Emergencies Ministry. They reported 132 people were aboard the Tupolev Tu-154.
But Polish officials said 88 people were on board when the plane crashed. Sky News reported 96 dead.

Drudge has a picture of the plane...so far they’re saying pilot error that they were asked to revise their landing plans due to fog.
Accident? Thats what their saying. But dont they always say that?
There is a terrible irony in that they were attending a remembrance ceremony for the Katyn Massacre, a previous instance of Russian hospitality.

Yes I second that....
This is the reason why the "Big 3" flew on seperate Corp Jets. In the 60's it may have been one of IBM's competitors (Burroughs? spelled correct) that had the entire board of directors and more on board and it went down and they had to sell out to a competitor because they had no "team" left to run the organization. Kind of gave birth to the biz-jet.
