Try checking beyond that. My husband has been in the health care field for over 30 years, knows hundreds of Drs, reads all kinds of accurate materials, knows who's 'speaking' for Drs, and what their political make up is (eg the AMA), and I know that what you are "seeing" is just not accurate.
We will lose many Drs and have many who don't go into medicine because of this horrific bill.
Of course it is limited. I said that from the beginning. It was simply dr’s I was speaking with. Tho we have had quite a few letters to the editor here in our paper from dr’s supporting some kind of health care reform. My dr and my husband’s dr also...are both for some kind of reform and had positive and negative things to say about it..but for the most part were positive. People are not going to stop going into the field of medicine because of this. If they were ever going to do that.it would have been because of hmo’s...and my ob/gyn did retire early because of hmo’s....now he said he might come back with this reform if things..(personal) was different...he has been out of practice for about ten years now. Thanks for your reply tho.
btw..while I freely said it was limited..I beg your pardon..it is not faulty..I was at a large hospital in the emergency room..spoke to three dr’s...spoke with my dr..spoke with a specialist....all were in favour of the healthcare reform...I certainly did not mean to suggest there are not some who are not happy about it...it was very limited. But I also spoke with many friends..as I am want to do..and drive them crazy with my personal “polls”...all were positive..and all said the same thing..no one is leaving medicine..they will still make a very good living..this is the only training they have..what else would they do..and they love what they do..again...main complaint again....was hmo’s..which they hate.
