NEW YORK (AP) -- The Rev. Al Sharpton is a "lightning rod" for President Barack Obama on inner city streets, Obama's former Harvard mentor and friend said Saturday at a forum in Harlem.
But Sharpton, who led the event, told The Associated Press that America's first black president "has to work both for us and for others," and that if Obama were to push a race-based agenda, "that would only organize the right against him....."

I am by no means judging the Reverend, but how many times has anyone ever heard him read scripture or preach the gospel, you must be born again? He has done countless interviews with countless commentators and it usually is always social issues. Rev, you need to worry about the souls of men and women, not who your friends are. A friend of the world is at enmity with GOD.
Sharpton actually says some good things in this article.
And even Sharpton has figured out that Barry is a user...

I see Obama finally got around to viewing Dorothy Wright Tillman, Michael Eric Dyson and others on We Count, the black agenda (and they’re his friends, so it was double-plus good). Black unemployment, no vouchers, losing homes/apartments, taking the elderly church ladies COLA away from social security for two years, Medicare services already getting chopped down, fed money into cities housing programs cut at the last minute, brothers witnessing illegals getting their jobs and anything they want with the unions, dropouts and crime rampant in Chicago and now that he’s used them, their complexion, took their dimes, lied to them and fooled them, they’re pissed.
They don’t want to hear ‘tool’ Sharpton, who’s been around decades lining his pockets and chasing the next criminal to represent crying racism. He’s part of the problem.
Was he marching to the WH on jobs, schools, ACORN scams?
