Glenn Beck: You're Being Set Up, America
Fox News ^ | April 19, 2010 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 04/20/2010 9:31:05 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

If you've been a long time viewer of this show and listener of my radio show, then you remember a time when the show was based in comedy. We looked at the news of the day and tried to get a point across in the funniest way possible. Today is a different story. The show is now about as funny as smallpox.

Recently, I got all kinds of heat for telling Forbes magazine that my company is an entertainment company. But they only printed half the quote. The rest of the quote was about how I very much believe the republic is on fire, I just don't think the best way to solve it is with a cartoon dog carrying a fire hose.

Look, I want an easy life too. I want to go to movies. I don't want to think about all the things we have to think about. But we are not protecting the republic just for us — this is for our children.

This land — if you believe the Founders — was found through divine providence. Which means we're holding a place for His purposes.

We've talked on this program about faith, hope and charity. And I'm going to be frank with you, when we started it up I wasn't sure exactly why this was the direction we needed to go in. But — and here's something you won't hear on TV — I introduced that theme because I felt led in that direction by the Spirit. I'm not sure exactly where this is going to lead, but I want to bring you not only the news of the day, but what's coming next, without being divisive or perceived as divisive.(continued)

“In my humble opinion, we hurt our own cause when we threaten insurrection before we’ve given the democratic process a chance to work.”

Amen.

I sometimes wonder about the people who beat their chests and cry out for armed revolution...do they really want to see what the United States of America will look like after?

Do we have the George Washingtons, Thomas Jeffersons, Ben Franklins in today’s world to see us through that? I doubt it. Our moral compass and intellectual understanding as a people is far less than those men.

I’m not afraid of what’s coming, whether it be violent or non-violent. I’m prepared for both. But crying out for a fight will only find you in one...and you may not like the outcome.

his selection of Ghandi’s so-called non-violent approach is ridiculous.

Use your own filter, he wouldn't have a forum if he didn't push Ghandi. Just the way it is.

"No one spends as many years at CNN as he did and not have some of their BS rub off on them."

Beck was only on CNN for a little under three years. January 2006-October 2008

The Republic will die in the first battle.

Clue: It's already dead.

To attempt to bring religion into this fight is wrong.

Absolutely, since it worked out so badly for the Founding Fathers.</sarcasm>

"In my humble opinion, we hurt our own cause when we threaten insurrection before we’ve given the democratic process a chance to work.In my humble opinion, we hurt our own cause when we threaten insurrection before we’ve given the democratic process a chance to work."

Lol... That statement could have been made 100 years ago, today or 100 years from now. At some point it has to be determined that the "political" process does not and will not work.

We are not going back to coexisting with marxists as they continue to indoctrinate our children and inundate us with propaganda through the media. WE REFUSE!

Things ARE going to change in a big way soon. Either we will be able to completely destroy socialism in this country via the 2010 and 2012 elections and repeal every last shred of forced collectivism that has been implemented or there is going to be secession. We are done F'ing around and were not going to tolerate the tyranny of socialism any longer!

Personally, I think secession will the course that must be taken. I just cant see "deprogramming" enough of the people who vote for marxists to be able to push through even the smallest of repeals. Not to say I wont try like hell, but it wont be possible. at least not until we have divorced and let their society collapsed to the point of Detroit and worse. I think even in its current state the population of Detroit is still incapable of voting for anything other than a socialist, which says a lot about how low its gonna have to go before a certain segment of people finally abandon their "programming".

This cannot be fixed through forced coexistence. The "democratic" process is broken because the people vote for ideologies that cannot coexist. Its always been about the people, never the government. To get away from this tyranny we will have to get away from the people who vote for it.

I NEVER watch CNN. So other than my Mother getting mad at Beck and refusing to listen to him while waiting for Rush.

I really don’t know that much about his time at Cnn.

“The campaign against the latter was organized by the First Continental Congress, which was really a nonviolent action organization.”

Wha-wa-what? The Declaration of Resolves from the first CC, which was favored over the more "peaceful" Galloway proposal, was met with Lord North's attempt to create division among the colonists against the Continental Congress through a “peace” conciliation passed by Parliament. The colonists did not bite since the Battles of Lexington and Concord let their actions speak for themselves. That was success in the authors eyes? The most bang for the buck that the Committees of Correspondence provided was getting diplomatic practice for when the colonists met with France in order to squash the British, in a VIOLENT manner. The British had no intention at negotiations, especially by a rogue Congress (And the radicals knew that).

B. Franklin, who spent decades trying to “heal the relationship” with the British and angling for peace knew even before L and C the the poop would hit the fan. The Second CC was full of debate about independence. The last attempt by the majority of moderates that controlled the CC, in the form of the Olive Branch Petition, was met with heavy cynicism mainly by John Adams (Who wisely started making war preparations the minute the petition passed) The “radicals” prevailed as the colonists VIOLENTLY won their independence. The attempt at peace from 1754-1775, was so successful that the British government laughed it off because at that time in history, unlike the early-mid 20th century, they could (Until violence shut them up).

I’m no historian, but i’m willing to bet the majority of speeches given by the Founding Fathers referenced & praised God for His part in the successful forming of our nation...

Glen could actually be pushing our Founding Fathers, who had plenty to say about Tyranny - not just the Faith & Hope stuff. Or even MLK who effectively used Ghandi techniques.

To pray for a fair 2010 election is tantamount to praying that the Devil will be nice.

“The Kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force”. “There is a time for peace and a time for war” (Ecclesiastes).

Prayer will accomplish much but even Christians have the right to fight for their country. As it stands, you are losing it daily and it will soon be to late to take action. Believe me Obama is amassing his “forces”!! And they are to be used against YOU in case you rise up. Also, NO tyrant on the earth has ever been removed peacefully. Obama does not plan to EVER leave the White House. He has declared Himself KING forever. CO

But Blogger time is running out. The Bible states in Psalms that “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” It is time to restore the Foundations or else you will not be able to do anything. Destroying the Foundations has been what the Liberal Marxist Commies have been doing for many decades. No, it is time for ACTION!! CO

If the process by which the will of the people is realized becomes subverted and our voice is silenced, that is another story.

That is in the foreseeable future. Then what?

You know NO STATE Religion.

Strange considering most of the states had official State religions before they joined the Union. Me thinks you have had too much public education.

Visit a site called wallbuilders to see what the founder really wrote.
