McCain: I won't support Crist if he runs as an Independent candidate ("I support Republicans")
The Hill, Washington, DC ^ | 2010-04-20 | Molly K. Hooper

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Tuesday he will not support Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) in his Senate race if he runs as an Independent.

Crist, who helped McCain win Florida in the 2008 presidential GOP primary, has recently indicated he is mulling an Independent bid. McCain has backed Crist, but made it clear Tuesday that his endorsement will not stand if Crist is not the Republican candidate.

Asked if he will support Crist as an Independent, McCain told The Hill, "No."

Pressed further, McCain said, "I support Republicans."

McSalad says: I am a Republican, I only run as a Republican. I only support Republicans. However, after I am reelected EVERYTHING is on the table, my friends.

Has he supported non-Republicans in the past?

I am glad to hear this, actually, should be good for Rubio.

He seems to go out of his way to compliment and fawn over Democrats, but really takes the gloves off when he's slamming a Republican.

McCain on Barack Obama:

"very impressive, he's thoughtful, he's centrist"

"probably got a great future"

"a very honest and fine person"

"absolutely" qualified to be president

Sad but true - there are enough Dim and mushy middle voters here now to make sure this moron continues to hold office. Been posting flyers for JD and talking him up - the only way we can get rid of the fool is by beating him in the primary (and even then its probably gonna be tough)

“I support Republicans”

McCain is an athletic supporter not a Republican supporter.

I thought RINOs stuck together, McLame!
Crist was there to help McCain when he needed him most, which ultimately threw the election to 0bama. We haven’t forgotten, and it’s reason #1 why Charlie Crisp is persona non-grata. But now McCain is stabbing him in the back. So why is Sarah Palin “honor bound” to support McCain, again?

McDEMOCRAT supports DEMOCRATS. He’s a nasty senile fool and sells out the GOP whenever he senses a camera is near. What a JOKE!

A lot of AZ Republican primary voters know nothing about McPain’s record. They think he is “conservative”. And that’s all they want to hear.
