Yes, where are the crowds? The street marches? No justice, no peace?
Whether 'young' black men is meant to imply a restless youth or not; seems reasonable, that young - or not- black men, determining 'welcome targets' i.e. victims for their traumatizing violence (that could result in death) would be guilty first, of a HATE crime. As well, irrespective of any random criteria per 'random' victim , that this is a group MO; makes this crime premeditated and should it result in death; it should be called 'murder' - not manslaughter.
A tragedy for this family and all who have been so victimized; including all good citizens of Oakland whose streets are becoming what is a ready crime scene - or just a primitive hunting ground.

They are both 18, which is young in my book. However, it could be used to sensationalize and rationalize their behavior. Only time will tell.

Racism exists in the white community certainly, but blacks can walk in white community’s immune to beatings and theft, while whites are unsafe in black communities.
Some whites may be racist but few are dangerously so. this is not true in the black community as is proven every day in the stories that come in from around the country.

coming to a state near you - the EU is proposing government subsidized vacations for people who can’t afford them, they state it is a “right” - wait and see if it doesn’t happen here, so you and I will be working not only to pay for other peoples mortgages, food, clothing, schooling, vehicles, heathcare, etc etc etc etc we will now be paying for these losers to go on vacation as well.

Am thinking, since Obama became President; that 'black thuggery' has increased or is at least bolder (and less likely punished); and that there is an 'empowerment' going on, thanks to Obama - whereby, they can now act out against any oppressors or just man on street as case/whim may be. A protection real - and or otherwise - imagined; because one of their own; who is as well, a thug; is now President.

We can recall the cues communicated i.e. Professor Gates/innocent - White victim/guilty - at first glance by Obama. We can recall more.
Would compare this to the same increased terrorism we now experience and Obama enemy-friendly cues sent by this President which in turn have enabled/empowered this jihadist enemy. An enemy Obama refuses to totally recognize as either enemy or threat.
Kidding aside, I'm very sorry that there is a family out there that is hurting right now. How do you ever get over that kind of pain? The liberal/lefty teaching of non-violence and tolerance doesn't seem to be working.

except in my favorite movie In The Bedroom where Sissie Spacek's character got it...that final scene where Tom Wilkinson gets back from taking care of business and she cuddles up behind him as he crawls into bed heavy with all that comes with killing your son's murderer quietly and she embraces him proudly and empatherically knowing her baby had been avenged...very touching.
rare for me to find a Hollywood movie that grasped something like that
btw...two problems with too many black youth:
no parents...zero...not dads or moms...just aging grannies or great grannies
