Is billboard campaign working?
WorldNetDaily ^ | April 25, 2010 | wnd

WASHINGTON – It all started only one year ago, recalls WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah.

That's when he launched what became something of a national sensation and, he believes, rekindled the debate about Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility for office – the billboard campaign that asks the question, "Where's the birth certificate?"

"It has certainly changed my life," explains Farah. "A year ago I was still getting regular invitations to be on cable TV shows and talk about the issues of the day. The minute I was labeled a 'birther,' I became radioactive – just like Lou Dobbs."

But, Farah says, even though "the establishment media" are in lockstep on this issue, the billboard campaign has fundamentally changed the public's mind to the point at which all the polls are shocking the elite and state legislatures are passing bills to ensure this never happens again in future presidential elections.

"There's no denying it," says Farah. "No matter how hard my colleagues try to make the public forget about this issue, no how hard they attempt to ridicule anyone who wants to see the proof, no matter how much they demean even decorated military officers who take their own oaths seriously, this issue will not go away. It's going to be around in 2012. It may even be the defining issue in 2012."

He shouldn’t call any of the pretenders “colleagues”. They are not real journalist, researchers, or anything but useful idiots of the regime.

In University courses all across America. LOGIC 101, If he had a certificate, we would ALL have been given the chance to see it....end of logic, reason and intelligence.

You mean you don't buy the canard that he is using this to "make the constitutionalist, conservative or anyone opposing him" look silly?

Or, he showed the birth certificate and "factcheck.con" or whatever it is displayed it on the web?

Well, actually, there's another alternative.

He's got a Hawaii birth certificate, he just doesn't want to show it.

There are a number of reasons why this could be so. The actual certificate could show that his father is somebody other than Barack Obama, or just "father unknown" or "illegitimate". That would explode his entire self-manufactured "biography" - he just can't afford to make it public.

I'm inclined to think that his mama, being a deep-dyed Communist and free-love advocate, had no idea who the daddy was. And her parents, being not Red but merely Parlor Pinks, set about trying to give the poor little baby an at least arguable father, by planting all the information they possibly could. Hence selecting as the putative father an exchange student who was going back home in a few months. Hence the newspaper announcements giving a residence where neither Barack Obama nor Stanley Ann had ever lived - the confusion over the hospitals (to prevent anybody from locating the actual certificate) - holding the grandmother incommunicado - and so forth.

It all smacks of a valiant attempt by grandparents with some remnants of middle class propriety trying to save their grandchild from the stigma of bastardy. And in the 1960s, even in Hawaii, there was definitely a stigma. People in this day of casual divorce and illegitimacy don't realize just how bad it was to not know who your daddy was, and what sort of person that made your mama.

To his credit Joe Farah has been the only one beating the drum on this. And he is no doubt right about it.

But, in the end it’s a loser. Nobody important is ready to flip and leak the long form. There is no controlling legal authority. And no one who should have, did the right thing in December ‘08 / January ‘09.

So, here we are with this worthless worm and (alleged)usurper running the country into the ground and we can’t do a damned thing to stop him.

Didn’t the STATE law in Hawaii at the time suggest that children could be born ‘anywhere’, as long as they got to the Big Island within a year to register the birth and apply for a certificate? Like there were other islands and it was difficult to get to the Capitol to register a child, so they gave them a year to come and register a birth?

It wouldn't have been the Big Island, it would have been Oahu (where the capital is located). I don't know how the BC system works in HI, but here in GA you register through the local county - so presumably each island would have a registrar of births.

Another possibility (there are many) is that his mom filed an Amended Certificate of Birth after his adoption by Lolo Soetoro. Once you file an Amended Certificate the old original is destroyed. They might keep an abstract, but that would explain why nobody has seen the long form - an Amended Certificate wouldn't necessarily be a long form, and the old one would have been destroyed.

If he used that birth certificate to apply for, say, foreign student status or scholarship . . . again, that would be a real problem because it would arguably be a waiver of his citizenship.

So many possibilities.

It reminds me of the old MAD Magazine cartoon pointing out that when they bleep out the dirty words on television, each individual thinks of a word far worse than what was originally said.

My grandmother always said, "Tell the truth and shame the devil." I'm inclined to think that even bastardy and the explosion of Obama's ridiculous 'autobiography' would be better than the constant speculation about his parentage and citizenship.

You're right. They're not real journalists. They are the global warming 'scientists' of journalism, cherry picking the data to tell the story they want to tell. It's all propaganda.

Some day, perhaps in our lifetimes, to discover and report the truth, whatever it may be, will be the goal and deepest passion of the scientist and journalist alike.
