The SWAT Team was called in today at the Quincy Tea Party Rally. Obama was speaking at the convention center this afternoon. Unreal.

Sad to say it, but this is SOP when the POTUS or VPOTUS is in the area. It doesn’t matter if it is Bush or Obama.

Calling out a SWAT team is a desperate move on the part of a less than subtle disinformation campaign that is attempting to portray Tea Party people as violent. The reason their plan will not work is that most Americans strongly identify with the Tea Party movement, now that they see Obama for what he is, and know the CNNs of the world are complicit in a craven, dastardly lie about patriotic, loyal, peaceful and peace-loving, Americans. Obama himself is rapidly assembling a government of Brown Shirts and tries to divert people’s attention from this fact by projecting his own Fascist tendencies onto others who do not share them.
The deployment may be out of the ordinary, but the local SWAT teams are always in the area and on hand when VIP’s like the President is in the area.
They sure are lousy at close order drill.

Yea our bunch of ROTC two year program cadets (no prior experience as the 4 year cadets had) looked better than that. Well, depending on who was leading the flight. One guy could not remember the 54 comand sequence. Of course the rest of us knew what the next command was supposed to be, even if he couldn't remember it.
But the real question is, why did they feel the need to march in close order formation? It's not a parade ground, and units haven't used that sort of drill in battle in centuries.
Did anyone notice the white vans in that one video?
I’ve seen those white vans before in videos where obama drove by. I think he brings part of his audience with him in those white vans. (Or at least his cheering section.)
In this video... you can see only one white van behind obamas line of black cars but if you watch the road where they turn on to the street you can see four other white vans getting ready to make the turn just before the camera man changes his shot.

My guess is that it was an intimidation tactic.
They should have laughed them off the street.
Next time that happens I think it would be a good idea. this isan abuse of power by the coward in command.
