CAIR today called on national Republican leaders to repudiate campaign advertisements for a Florida GOP candidate that advocate racial profiling and promote Islamophobia. http://www.cair.com/

No one does more to promote Islamophobia than Muslims.
Ed REndell, Joe Sestak and multiple Pols have taken money from CAIR.
And they are shameless about it.
From the Washington Monthly (like this guy does NOT understand what DAn is saying!
May 5, 2010
‘DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A TERRORIST?’.... If you missed it, this campaign ad from Republican Dan Fanelli, hoping to take on Rep. Alan Grayson (D) in Florida this year, is one of the more startling commercials of the year so far.
If you can’t watch clips from your work computer, the spot shows Fanelli standing next to a white guy. Looking into the camera, the Republican asks, “Does this look like a terrorist?” He then stands next to a big, darker guy and ads, “Or this”? Fanelli concludes that if someone who looked like him “was flying airplanes into the Twin Towers, I’d have no problem being pulled out of line at the airport.”
It is, in other words, a campaign ad for a congressional candidate who wants to go to Washington to fight in support of racial profiling. That’s not just some random position he articulated in a questionnaire; this is Fanelli’s platform.
The first thing that jumped out at me about this ad? Fanelli argues that people who look like him — middle-aged, balding white guy — don’t fly airplanes into buildings, and therefore shouldn’t have to endure security screenings at airports. That’s idiotic on its face, but it’s especially disconnected to reality now — did the Republican not hear about the middle-aged, balding white guy, who looks quite a bit like Fanelli, who recently flew an airplane into a building?
For that matter, I can only hope someone would show Fanelli a picture of Timothy McVeigh and ask, “Does this look like a terrorist?”
As for the substance, this guy has no idea what he’s talking about. Adam Serwer explained, “[R]acial profiling isn’t any more effective than random screening. So rather than making anyone safer, you’re just alienating the communities a former CIA analyst and chief of intelligence analysis for the Department of Homeland Security under the Bush administration has said are themselves ‘the only way’ to really counter domestic radicalization.”
I can’t say whether Fanelli has a chance at winning his race and joining the House Republican caucus, but he’s certainly has a chance at winning an award for creating one of the year’s most offensive ads.

Yes his assistant came directly from CAIR
Let me get this straight.... Janet Reno under Clinton, ok’s burning alive innocent American woman and children because of their beliefs and CARE is allowed to aid & abet islamic terrorists?
I sure would like to see the list of ALL Politicians who have taken money from CAIR! Their names certainly need to be made public in a big way!
I love the fact that Dan Fanelli has NO qualms pointing out the TRUTH about who the enemy is! And I know Dan will keep on telling the truth! And he will tell the truth about Health Care Reform problems facing us too!
Dan Fanelli : Simple Facts-1
Dan Fanelli : Simple Facts-2
Dan Fanelli Terrorist Ad
Dan Fanelli On Health Care Reform:
Anyone who wishes to help Lt.Comdr.Dan Fanelli in his race to replace Socialist/Dem Alan Grayson, please go here:
The Washington Post also had to followed the same line:
I would love to see CAIR fully exposed for what they are and anyone associated with them be made known!
We had CAIR attempt to trash Michael Savage, and now they expect a rebuttal from the GOP over Dan Fanelli’s ads!
Islamic terrorists are our enemy. Same, same, CAIR!
Please remove me from the ping list. Thank you!
You can find them at the link. They're losers. I doubt a successful pro-profiling could be created, but that's not what these are about. Just the candidate putting a headlock on a Muslim looking guy. The GOP shouldn't be involved, there's nothing overtly bigoted about the ad, but it's rather stupid. If it appeals to the voters in his district, well, so be it.
I didn’t have the facts as you do. but I couldn’t believe the propagandist from CAIR actually tried to make the equivelent.
they make outragous statements like this knowing the questioner doesn’t have the facts in front of them.
Now we have Nasty Pelosi telling priests what to preach from the pulpit. I didn’t think I would live to see the day of Nazi’s in the U.S. Government. Boy was I wrong.
He definitely has the right kind of enemies.
You go, girl!
You Betcha, she does! :) And I am proud to call her a friend!
Oh, wait . . .
Next thing you know they’ll want to construct a minaret at the site of the plane crash at the Pentagon. tic tic tic
Dan Fanelli was flying a commercial jet full of passengers when our twin towers were hit by terrorists. He knows who the enemy is and is not afraid to tell everyone! No so called “politically correct” talk from Dan as he tells it like it is. And that is why CAIR is so upset, as the truth hurts!
Dan also isn't afraid to state the facts about what seniors are heading for with the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Health Care Reform. I'm a senior who is supporting candidates I know will put an end to ObamaCare once in control of Congress!
Dan Fanelli On Health Care Reform:
And if you don't think Dan Fanelli’s ad above is truthful, just read this:
If they respond at all, I hope they use your suggestion as “NUTS” is right on!
Pray and pray hard and often!
I am sure you have seen Dan Fanelli’s “controversial” commercials from his campaign that I posted the links to on this thread a few times.
These ads advocate a no-nonsense approach to scrutinizing the people who want to kill Americans and all freedom loving people.
As a result of these ads, Dan has been featured on many liberal talkshows and blogs as a racist, as well as been subject to ridicule & threats.
Today Dan was interviewed by the Orlando NBC affiliate, Wesh 2 News. The interview aired at 5 and may air again at 11 tonight and the article & ads are featured on their website. Also included is a survey to vote whether the ads are racist or not. Many folks are letting their opinions & voices be heard. Please take a few moments to click the following link to the website and vote. Also make a comment if you like.
Alan Grayson has now publicly responded to the ads calling Dan a bigot. The local Arab American Council is also demanding Dan remove & apologize for these ads.
I say Dan does not owe ANYONE an apology! Please do not let special interests & political correctness deter the public debate that has been sparked by these ads! You can help by donating to Dan's campaign at the link below and also by spreading the word about Dan Fanelli. Thanks!
Please visit electdan2010.com
it was 191 to 73 against theidea that the ads are racist at this point
how about this; “Since Islam is not mentioned in the ad, we find it difficult to indentify the ad as derogatory toward Muslims. “
Sounds good to me!
But then, “Derogatory towards Muslims” fits nicely and I would tell CAIR that I don’t CAIR what they think!
I hope Dan Fanelli keeps on keeping on with his truthful and to the point ads! Let the “politically correct” folks whine and whine. They do it so well!
Just voted and the results are encouraging......
Are the ads racist?
Current Results: Yes....30%
Give me a link to the vote again so I can post it elsewhere.

****PINK SLIP PARTY 2010****
Sponsored by the National Republican Congressional Committee to get rid of Alan Grayson (FL-08) & Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24) will be held downtown Orlando outside City Hall from 2 - 4 p.m.
DISTRICT 8 CANDIDATES FORUM
Kool Katz Bar & Grill, located in Old Town at
5770 W Bronson Highway, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
This event starts at 2 p.m. and is sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots.
Dan Fanelli is the candidate for Congress from FL-8 who tells it like it is and did so in his recent ads concerning terrorism. The ads have upset CAIR and the Florida Arab American Council and now the “politically correct” media is joining them in accusing Dan of being racist and promoting profiling. I say it is about time we started profiling the right people!
Fox 35 out of Orlando interviewed Anwar Albaba, the actor in Fanellis ads who agrees with Dan Fanelli, and a Muslim activist who does not agree with ANY form of profiling. Listen and see here:
And we need to know about how many of the possible terrorists are entering the US! These videos below just reinforce the very smart move by the Governor of Arizona!
These videos also feature another strong Conservative candidate like Dan Fanelli, who tells it like it is! GO JD HAYWORTH!
AND some may wonder why Dan Fanelli made this ad concerning Health Care Reform, in other words the “Obama/Pelosi/Reid Health Care Reform”. It is because Dan Fanelli tells the straight truth like Thomas Sowell!
Dan Fanelli On Health Care Reform:
What should be added is:
And a good time was had by all!
The most important part missing is ElectDan, but they did catch the 2010.com!
Here is the correct link for the Dan's Grayson poster!
They are not afraid to post Dan Fanelli’s truthful ads!
I know it’s been said before: but frankly, I don’t care, CAIR.
Maybe Muslims should be offended?
CAIR (ISLAM generally) should cease and desist proselytizing. We have Freedom of religion here.
And I hope the citizens of New York City prevent a mosque from being built at ground zero! It is past time to stop this madness!
there is a part of me that really thinks imigrants who are able to make their own way should be granted citizenship
freeloaders and drug dealers obviously are not welcome but that problem is not restricted to imigrants
“terrorism” is an attempt to intimidate people into submission by means of violence. most acts of violence are already crimes though and these can be treated as police matters. If anything we need more local sheriff deputies and less federal agents.
