Obama's Wide Stance

Integrity: There is no question the president made a solemn promise not to raise taxes on those making $250,000 or less. Why is his budget director insulting Americans' intelligence by calling it a "stance"?

Regardless of party or political philosophy, when you make a specific, repeated, passionate promise on something big, the people have every right to expect that you are telling the truth, and that you will follow through and keep your word.

That standard is never higher than when it concerns an American president. When President George H.W. Bush broke his "Read My Lips" tax pledge two decades ago, it overshadowed even his success in conducting Operation Desert Storm.

Bill Clinton used Bush's breaking of the tax pledge in his 1992 campaign and was fully justified in doing so. (We hasten to add that Clinton, as president, proceeded to forget all about his promise to cut middle-class taxes.)

The blood of all Americans — whether they support Obama or not — should have boiled this week upon hearing the hedging of the president's budget director regarding the president's tax pledge at a Manhattan breakfast Thursday morning.

"The president has been very clear about what he prefers," Peter Orszag said. "That was his stance during the campaign, and he still believes that's the right course forward. But he has also been very clear that we shall let the commission go do its work.

There is more.

In the health care bill.

Promises not to raise taxes on those earning $200,000 or $250,000 for a couple. This is compromised by a 3/9% tax on the sale of your house even if it only means you are in the $200,000 bracket for the day of the sale.

These people need to be exposed for the damned liars they are.

That must be the wide stance Larry Sinclair talked about.

Political promises! Sounded good?, but now you are stuck with this Liar! Someday, you will look at his character and actions before you believe his FALSE promises.

Check out Scott Walker, Milwaukee County Executive who presented a balanced (no-increase) budget, except for the overspending Democrat County Board.

Running for Governor in Wisconsin. Should win.

So is okay that I continue to hope that a meteor will strike Washington DC while Congress and the Emperor are in session?

That picture says a lot about the arrogant p o s and Michele. You would think he would have enough sense to have the trousers altered so they would fit him properly, or that Michele would stand more gracefully then like this

who was stupid enough to believe this dolt when he said that over and over again?

I think the real anger is that it is taking so long for the firmly stupid and naive to see Captain “share the wealth” Obvious as fully and firmly outed by his actions.
