zero is a closet muslim, possibly, but he certainly is not Christian (belonging to a Marxist Black Liberation church for 20 years-HA) ....his mother was never Christian—she was a fellow traveler—atheist— and both his deserting fathers were Muslim. Influence in vulnerable,(what)character-forming years? Islam.

The fact that Hussein got even one religious Christian vote is hard to fathom. ...let alone as many as he did. Lotta confused people out there.

People have slowly been turned off by the guy over time. First by his arrogance and over time by his overall agenda, which is totally outside the mainstream of America. While the rest of the world seeks freedom and democracy and a move toward the right, The Rookie is going the opposite direction, and he don’t care if over half the people hate his guts, he’s hellbent on radically changing an entire nation for the next five generations.

Just took a quick look around that site saw a few official statements praising Obama. ...for his immigration stance, “domestic partnerships,” etc. Man, you weren’t kidding.

Obama never had the GOD vote.

All the Jewish voters I have come across never felt he had the “G_D” vote, either.

The majority of 'religious' voters I personally know were born/bred democrat first... the system of liberalism - or as some call it 'social justice' is equivalent to WWJD question. Now I know I am NOT to judge these peoples, so I won't. But they consider it their religious duty to work for and support ANY democrat candidate on a political ballot.

For someone who acts as evil as Bummer does to have given such a precise evangelical Christian testimony as he did at Brokeback (er I mean Saddleback) seems to suggest an uncommonly deep degree of evil in that person. Your normal agnostic just won’t bother aping the commonly accepted signs of a known religion. He is still too honest. Someone with a scheme to gain from it, and without a hint of conscience, will bother.

If people who believe in God had listened to their hearts and the teachings of God then they would have never voted for Barack Hussein Obama in the first place.

This is also my experience. There are many, many very nice people in my church who have bought into the social justice line of thought. It's very frustrating. On a personal level, they are kind, generous and giving people. Politically, they buy into all the climate change, pacifism, Bush was a warmonger, evil Halliburton, etc memes. Most will not discuss facts; they just brush it all off with "I'm not into politics" or some canned talking point. It's clear that they take their "facts" from the mainstream media and don't consider that they may be highly biased.

How do they reconcile the Dems' pro-abortion position with their WWJD "religious duty"?

yep...they have a Cuba outreach program too...solidarity

the church is probably the most leftist here

and very lesbican

you feel sorry for the old blue haired ladies pushed out by radicals after 50 years at their formerly Southern Baptist leafy neighborhood church

my most liberal friends I have quit there over “just too homosexual oriented”

There is no one set answer. The 'protestants' that vote democrat dance around the flag pole claiming to be 'pro-life', but it is not their issue. The majority of them have first and foremost on their minds of being at the front of the line when the 'rapture' happens. And they just know they won't have to face that bloody tribulation that they believe is going to take place once they get their boarding pass. And God sure needs their help spreading the word to get the luggage packed, because they are ready to leave any day now.

The Catholics consider abortion to fit in that massive 'gray' area to be sorted out at some future date. They are all about 'social justice' and varying degrees of sin, which can all be erased on any given day of the week by going to confession.

As I said, it varies depending on how the question is framed, as they will stand up for their 'pro-choice' tax and spend liberal politician as much and even more than they will for their preacher or priest.

Personally, I think liberals have taken over the seminaries and the majority of preachers/priest have drunk the cup of social justice. The pure unadulterated hate for all things George W. Bush was as if he were the devil himself, while they could have cared less what the character of old BJClinton and his Mrs. possessed.

I remember one such church goer being all embarrassed by the lack of speaking ability of President Bush, and thought Algore was a better worldly representative of US...

These days I avoid the subject like the plague, and figure they will have to learn the hard way.

I believe that many Christians (including Jews and members of other religions) voted for Obama for four reasons.

First, McCain picked an unknown for VP (Palin had issues many of them could not overlook) rather than a known Christian like, Romney or Huckabee.

Second, McCain failed to attrached Christians due to his flip-flops or oppossing view on key issues that they considered important.

Third, Obama went to a “church” regularly, granted 99.8% of Christians would have walked out after 5 minutes of listening to one of “reverend” Wright’s “I Hate America” sermons.

Forth, and the most important, I believe that many Christians & Independents voted for Obama to prove to themselves that they were not a closet racist and by voting for Obama, they could releive themselves of any “white guilt” that they felt.
