By Simon Hradecky, created Monday, May 17th 2010 23:02Z, last updated Monday, May 17th 2010 23:02Z

SNIPPET: “A Delta Airlines Boeing 747-400, registration N675NW performing flight DL-620 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Minneapolis,MN (USA) with 407 people on board, was enroute about one hour into the flight, when two male passengers were observed carrying a plastic bag containing some liquid into a lavatory raising concerns with the crew. The captain ordered the two passengers to be detained and decided to return to Tokyo for a safe landing. The passengers were taken into custody by Tokyo police.

Laboratory tests revealed the liquid was not dangerous at all identifying the liquid as urine.”

I understand.

As with any breaking news and under-reported news at that; the “news” is always subject to change.

If the gentlemen did get on the flight with no passports; the updates will be interesting, too.

urine? i guess they had to go so they ‘went’ into the bag and then took the bag to the bathroom when it is free?

chinese eh? i’d be more worried if they have any tainted milk with them.

A pax description that I am inclined to speculate as authentic:

DL620 started off with a little excitement this afternoon when 2 men continuously paced the aisles clutching their brief cases. The flight attendants approached them a number of times asking them to have a seat, which they didn’t. A short time later, there was a call for a physician in the back as one of the men had thrown up and was a touch diaphoretic. Fortunately an ER doc showed up, and my services were not needed. Not long after that, there was another call for the front row of coach. About 20 minutes later, each of the men was brought to opposite sides of row 21 in flexicuffs or zip ties or whatever they are called. Both of them were obviously drugged.

More to it (cont.)
By Henry on Tuesday, May 18th 2010 13:33Z

Continued:

The flight was quietly turned around and we were told about 15 minutes out of NRT that we have returned and would land shortly. Passengers were asked to stay seated as a large number of law enforcement personnel entered the aircraft and took charge of the scene.
....
It was impressive watching the former NW ladies take charge of that situation. They also had the relief pilots come down and check out the situation as well. All very professional.

(Note that the tail number of the plane was N675NW)

You need your passport to get your ticket and boarding pass. You need your passport to go through security screening. Sometimes, you need your passport to present with your boarding pass before you embark the plane.

I cannot understand how this could happen, unless it was intentional.

Not much of an update, but here are a few more details:

http://kstp.com/news/stories/S1566049.shtml?cat=1

“Delta flight from Tokyo lands in Minneapolis safely”

SNIPPET: “Passengers said two men locked themselves in the same restroom and refused to come out.

“One guy was hiding in the bathroom. We saw one guy was lying on the floor,” said Minkyoung Sung, who was on the flight.

“I heard a flight attendant come up to the man in the seat in front of me and say, ‘This isn’t your ticket. Where’s your passport?’ I don’t think he had any of that,” Schauf said.

Sarah Donlin said she didn’t notice anything suspicious until she saw the crew on the plane rush to the front lavatory. Another passenger said she saw someone being carried down the aisle, unconscious.

“Then it looked like someone was ill and that’s what they announced over the loud speaker,” Donlin said. “And that’s what we were led to believe until we saw police enter the airplane.”

Another passenger told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that she saw two handcuffed people leave the plane.”

I just had a weird thought, two gay terrorists each have a massive amount of a binary explosive agent in their blood system thats harmless and not detectable decide to do a little “mile high” activity and go boom together.

Its conceivable in its absurd ridiculous fashion and our enemies know of no level to stoop to, they will do it until we do it to them first.
