The Mexico model

What, Washington doesn’t have enough two-faced politicians, so it needs to import some?

In the capital for a state visit last week, Mexican President Felipe Calderon repeatedly teed off on the new Arizona law that makes illegal immigration a state crime and requires aliens to show documentation should a cop request it.

At a Rose Garden press conference, Calderon moaned that many immigrants “still live in the shadows, and at times, like in Arizona, face discrimination.”

Addressing Congress, he said the law “introduces a terrible idea using racial profiling as a basis for law enforcement.”

Dear President Calderon;

Instead of coming here and slandering our country, go home and figure why millions of your fellow citizens are fleeing yours.

What pisses me off is our esteemed president allowing a foreign dignitary to trash a state without calling him on it.

America is the only country in the entire world that is not allowed to protect its borders.

Give me your criminals, your diseased,
Your useless masses yearning for all that is free,
The wretched scum of your teeming shore.
Send these, the illiterate, tax burdens on me,
My country thou make, rotten to the core ! New inscription on Statue of Liberty

Pisses me off too. But then, we have to realize that Barako Bama is an ENEMY of America who fooled people into electing him. This traitor must be voted out as soon as we can.

Me too!

...and what also wee wee’s me is the President’s Mussolini re-enactment at the West Point graduation. Geez, a normal person might think that chin in the air arrogant posture made famous by that Italian Fascist Benito, who went out of power upside down, would be something to avoid, but Noooooo!

Great post. Here’s my response to Calderon in our local paper.

Free Immigration or Welfare

President Obama and Congressional Democrats applauded President Calderon’s recent remarks, asserting that Arizona’s immigration law used racial profiling as a basis for law enforcement, that 80% of weapons seized in Mexico’s drug war came from the US, and that the Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) expiration caused 23,ooo deaths since 2006 and should be reinstated.

His comments were hypocritical, and flat wrong. He obviously didn’t read or understand the Arizona law, was misinformed about weapons seizure, and couldn’t back up drug war death claims causes with facts.

Arizona’s immigration law reflects federal law permitting citizenship status checks only of violators of established laws. Yet, in a CNN interview, Calderon admitted profiling was the basis of Mexico’s immigration law enforcement followed by jail and deportation.

The 80% figure comes from 11,000 of 29,000 weapons seized, Mexico submitted to BATF for tracing. But only 17% were traced to the US.

Finally, the AWB expired because it had little effect reducing assault weapons crimes, remaining at 2-8%, after being enacted.

Calderon supports US amnesty for illegal immigrants because we’re Mexico’s safety valve. Mexico’s caste social and economic system discourages growth and wealth creation, encouraging the young, restless, and creative to immigrate to the US for jobs and welfare, preventing them from upsetting Mexico’s status quo.

Obama and Democrats support amnesty hoping it’ll capture Hispanic votes perpetuating their hold on all government branches in perpetuity.

But for economic stability here, remember Milton Friedman remarking, you can have a welfare state or free immigration but not both.

Questions on Calderon

Why is it our fault that his people shoot each other to death?

Why is it our fault that he cannot find work for millions of his citizens?

Why is it our fault that he resides over a medieval serfdom that diminishes the lives of millions and forces him to illegally instruct them to enter our country, so that his country can receive foreign dollars and his trespassing citizens can enjoy American health and education benefits.

Why is it that we have to pay for the education of illegals when our own citizenry are not being adequately educated?

Why is it the we have black teenage unemployment in the 30% range and yet we have to depend on illegal aliens to fill construction, gardening, restaurant, warehouse and every other unskilled labor requirement? Why doesn’t anyone mention this - that two problems should be solved simultaneously?

Why is it after one hundred years, since the inception of the word “wetback” which entered the written lexicon in 1920, that hordes of unskilled, illiterate Mexicans continue to illegally enter the United States, through recession and through depression, through boom and bust, generation upon generation and no one, virtually no one asks, why is Mexico so wrong and America so right? What is it that America does so exceptionally well that the Mexicans cannot seem to emulate? Have they no resources like oil and gas? Have they no verdant fields upon which to grow, have they no thousands of miles of coastline, have they enough labor to accomplish anything, have they no ability to teach people, have they no law upon which to build a nation? Why is it that they continually fail, that everything they touch turns to waste? Why is it that their propagandists claim the American southwest was stolen from them and no American makes the obvious response - ‘well if you did have it, it would only be an extension of the human destroying, poverty inducing serfdom that you live in, so thank God America had it - where else could you run to? Cuba?
