Scary is that Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, Andrew Breitbart, Bill O’Reilly, and some others agree with BJC on this one....trashing the Birthers.
Like the critics of the AZ SB 1070....they have not read the Obama Long Form Birth Certificate.....

Vintage Clinton. Half-truths & outright lies.
But there’s a certain amount of misdirection going on here. The beauty is that just mentioning Barry’s citizenship problem — even while ridiculing the “birthers” — puts the issue out in the open. Barry Soetero is probably seething today.

Well, one thing he hasn't done is allow me, or anyone else, to obtain a certified copy of his brith certificate from the State of Hawaii. So far as I know, my birth certificate is a public record and anyone who wants to obtain one merely has to pay a copying fee to the municipality which retains that record. Not any more. At one time that was true, anyone could get a copy of your BC, but ostensibly due to "identity theft", it's not so easy these days.

I'm pretty sure that anyone can still get a copy of my birth certificate by supplying my name and birthdate. There really isn't much information on my certificate that could be used to "steal my identity." Even if my great protectors wouldn't let you get such a copy unless I specifically gave you permission, I promise that upon election by the Electoral College, I will give you and everyone else such permission. And since you will also need to see my father's naturalization papers, I will make those available too.

Personally I think all that should become public the minute your name goes on the ballot, even in a primary.

No, I am suggesting that the “long form” does not say who his father was, that it was say he was illegitimate. I am advancing this only as a possibility. Wherever he was born, the document does not fit the narrative. Ditto the other documentation he is concealing. My impression is that this man has invented a life story and is depending on his powerful friends to cover this up. IAC, whether this man was born on American soil or not, he has little in common with the “ordinary” American, even with someone like Willaim Ayres. he is not an American “type.” Compare him with Alger Hiss, for instance. Or George McGovern. or any black civil rights leader, even the Rev. Wright. He is “strange. An Auslander.

If he really wanted us to ignore it he would not have said anything I suspect that Democrats try to subtly troll the "birthers" to get them stirred up so that they're more visible and thus more effective at making conservatives in general look silly.
