HOUSTON (AP) -- Federal officials have asked authorities in Houston to watch for a member of a Somali terror group who may be coming to Texas through Mexico.
The Homeland Security Department last week issued an alert for a suspected member of the group al-Shabaab.

ICE looking for 270 illegal Somalis who could be connected to Al-Shabaab
Snip: A Virginia man has admitted he helped 270 Somalis, possibly with terrorist connections, get into the US by crossing the Mexican border. None have been found, but all are believed to have blended into states with large Somali or African refugee populations. Hat tip: Richard Falknor at Blue Ridge Forum who just yesterday noted that few at CPAC last week discussed National Security.
From the Washington Examiner today (February 23, 2010):
Authorities are searching for 270 Somalis believed to have entered the U.S. illegally with the help of a Virginia man who admitted contacts with an Islamic terrorist group.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent said his agency had yet to locate any of the suspected illegal immigrants.
If I’m ever wanted by ‘Federal Officials’ I’ll be sure to vigorously scan AP articles to learn about where I am expected to show up.

This is the sort of information that our government should be acting on and, apparently, is not. At the least, it seems to want to keep most elected officials and the voting public in the dark (see the end of the 2nd video where a GA Congressman states that he has never seen the reports of where illegal crossers actually come from)….(not that Congressmen aren’t known to lie…but, I will accept that this one is speaking the truth). Sec of HS, Napolitano, should be vigorously pursuing this matter given her former position as Governor of AZ. She is not which indicates to me that she has succumbed to the “inside the beltway” syndrome of liars and political Liberal hacks.
