I miss LurkerNoMore, William Wallace, SeekingTheTruth, rdf, Skeet, Abner. I remember the House Manager's Dinner where FR came into it's own. What a great night. Before Lindsey Graham decided he was Little Maverick.

I miss Dio and Bob J.

I miss Radio FreeRepublic!

I miss being 12 years younger.

Thanks to you all for what you have brought to my life.

And lewis, please take this in the happy spirit in which it’s offered ... you were my VERY FIRST run-in on FR. I have no idea about what, but I remember you and me sniping at one another for days. ;p
I'm well known and hated on Fairtax threads, maybe that was it.

No matter, if you (and I) don't remember it goes to show you how unimportant some things really are.

>>”sneakypete is one of the ones I miss.”

Sneakypete did some good work, with DITHF and some others.

IIRC, he made a run at ME once, trying to “out” me as a poseur; stolen valor, and all that. Didn’t work, I am still here.

Hi eddie!! I don't see you around the forum as much as I used to. But we've gotten so much bigger and so many have come and gone, it's hard to keep track of everyone!

Yup! I did have a WebTV back in the day. There were quite a few of us here at one time. I think most have moved on to computers now, but the WebTV was a nifty little machine, which was actually ahead of it's time. I remember when folks thought it strange that you could surf the web on your tv. Computers are finally catching up to the technology! LOL

I was a mere lurker then (employer monitored e-mail & such), but remember the fake DITHF dude; Janet Waco’s nemesis, Jack Thompson, who was as big a phoney as she; ASH, a miserable little turd; and klinktoon tryin’ to deny Monica’s BJs! I loved Twit! He was one of the first that I talked to when I signed up at FR. I really miss seeing him around the forum!

Another whose absence is felt daily is my good FRiend michigander. He was my goto guy for all things HTML. He would patiently explain how to do what I was trying to do and how it worked. He also had a killer sense of humor! I miss you bud!

This has to be the worst hijacking of a thread I have ever seen. A quest for movie recommendations goes off topic at post 3 and goes on for another 250 posts of nostalgia, never to go back on topic again.

I suggest you start a new thread asking again for movies on the Battle of Hurtgen Forest. Being the longest single battle in US military history, you would think there would be a movie or two about it, yet a Google search comes up with none aside from “When Trumpets Fade.” It is a good, gritty anti-war film that comes full circle, but it really has noething to do with the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest. This movie could have been set about anywhere and kept the same message.

The Battle of the Bulge seems to have stolen all of the thunder from Hurtgen Forest.

St Ronnie and I were at Conspiracy Guy and Laura Earl’s wedding.

Laz, you need the original colors, fonts, and words ....

 * * * ASH ALERT* * *

Lazamataz aka The "Newashman" aka ASH aka ReduxAsh aka at least five other screen names is a hoaxer who has been banned from posting to this forum. Not once, but many times. He will be banned again soon.

HE WILL, WHEN CHALLENGED, PRETEND INNOCENCE. His use of multiple aliases is, itself a hoax. He is an electronic crasher who is here AGAINST THE EXPRESS WISHES OF THE OWNER OF THIS FORUM.

Attempting to engage him in debate plays into his hands. He is here to create dissent and to disrupt the Free Republic. That is his pattern and the reason his posting privileges have been banned.

Please DO NOT respond in any way to him.

Fred,

I lurk a LOT, and read a lot.
It takes a lot to get me to post... usually when something keeps me up at night, like the BCert threads.
The thought of having an usurper in the WH just galls me; I love my country and hate to see it dragged down by that guy.

I googled my screenname and found it on a pinglist regarding SecondAmendmentSisters and Brothers of a New Destiny (B.O.N.D.) but when I logged in could not find any of my old posts from back in the time when we were protesting Gore (I had made some posts here for sign ideas)

Now that 0 is in the WH I consider the situation worse than BClintoon, and I must say something about it.

so here I am up at oh-dark-hundred... 3:30AM my time :0

The Chief died in a house fire back in 2001. Wasn't he murdered by his neighbor? Something about gasoline in a light bulb?

I remember him dying. Never knew how it happened.
