Yeah it’s always “That” that goes away

How about public employees’ salaries and benefits? Especially the pencil pushers, Matt?

Why don’t those ever go away?

Just a reminder, Minnesota had Jessie Ventura as governor and now Al Fraken as senator. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!

They can keep their winters too.

The DFL should just give up on the Governor’s office. Every retread they throw into the election gets completely over-matched. They may be able to win Senate seats to pull in pork, but nobody here really wants one running the state.

Mind your manners. We elected Michelle Bachmann too.

Some of us like four seasons.

But Entenza is still an idiot.

Let the northerners keep their image of Mississippi....as long as they stay the hell away.

Like we say, there's Yankees and Damn Yankees. Yankees come to visit....Damn Yankees come to stay.....

This is true though if he ends up running as an independent. I’m not sure if I can see the bed wetter winning the DFL endorsement.

You are correct that Minnesota winters suck, and they have had some serious libs and wackos elected lately. (I used to live there so I know first hand of what I speak.)

However, if you look at education, Minnesota does outscore Mississippi and many other states in that area.

That being said, if high scores in public education gets people like Franken elected, maybe we need to rethink what is really being taught.

Also, keep in mind, alot of Minnesotans are liberal in politics, but very conservative in their lifestyles. It’s a strange dicotomy. I think it comes from not realizing that the Democrat party of today is not the DFL of HHH’s day.

It's interesting that if you look at who the fattest people are, they are also usually the poorest. Interesting, huh?

As for the poorest, MS has a large number of people on welfare, and many of those are in families that have never known any other life. That includes white as well as black families.

Since the institution of the "Great Society" and the 'War on Poverty", these folks have depended on the largesse of the Federal Government, and have had absolutely NO incentive to get out and find a regular job. Make no mistake, many of them ARE working, just not that hard, and they're not reporting the income, so as not to disrupt their flow of income from the government (read: taxpayers like us).

“If budget cuts were always the answer, then Mississippi would be a leader in this country,” … (Matt) Entenza said Minnesota has historically been near the top and Mississippi near the bottom on education and health care, “and now we’re falling down to that level.”

Do tell.

So the answer is what, more taxes and more spending?

Jeebus, Matt. That’s about the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

Pass that hopium bong this way, will ya? Jackass

Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza: “If budget cuts were always the answer, then Mississippi would be a leader in this country.”

Hey, Matt—if you think throwing government money at something produces solid results, then consider the amount of money spent on education in the Washington, D.C. school system.

If you learned your spend-your-way-to-success logic in the Minnesota school system, the rest of us will be more interested in avoiding Minn. schools than in avoiding Miss. schools.

Keep your socialism, Matt; we’re not buying.

Down town Minneapolis/St. Paul is probably 60% black/brown, but most of Minnesota is probably about 85-95% white.
