Clarification/Correction Regarding Audio Transmission Between Flotilla and Israeli Navy
5 June 2010
Yesterday evening on 4 June 2010, the IDF released an audio recording of a radio transmission between the Israeli Navy vessel and the Flotilla ships wherein unidentified flotilla passengers tell the Israeli Navy vessel to “shut up, go back to Auschwitz” and “we’re helping Arabs go against the US, don’t forget 9/11.” There have been questions regarding the authenticity of the recording as well as its attribution to a communication with the Mavi Marmara.
So to clarify: the audio was edited down to cut out periods of silence over the radio as well as incomprehensible comments so as to make it easier for people to listen to the exchange. We have now uploaded the entire segment of 5 minutes and 58 seconds in which the exchange took place and the comments were made.
This transmission had originally cited the Mavi Marmara ship as being the source of these remarks, however, due to an open channel, the specific ship or ships in the “Freedom Flotilla” responding to the Israeli Navy could not be identified. During radio transmissions between Israeli Navy and the ships of the “Free Gaza” Flotilla on 31 May 2010, the Israeli Navy ship attempts to make contact with the ‘Defne Y’ on channel 1-6. Other ships from the flotilla respond on the channel, without identifying themselves. At some point during the radio exchange the Israeli Navy is told by one of the ships to “shut up, go back to Auschwitz” (2:05) and “don’t forget 9-11″ (5:42).
Below are both the edited and unedited version of the exchange:
Edited
Edited transmission 26 seconds
Unedited:
Israel Defense Force Spokesperson
The unedited audio transmission is well worth the five plus minutes it takes to listen.
How much clearer can it be to realize what Israel is up against?
The diplomatic measures employed with great diligence by the Israel Defense Force and Israel Navy in the interest of protecting Israeli citizens, also serve to protect the flotilla of not so peaceful protesters bringing aid to Gaza.
The Rachel Corrie Linda refused to be boarded several times.
The Israel Defense Force off-loaded the shipped aid from the flotilla onto trucks earlier this past week. Those loaded trucks have now been standing by for nearly a week because the offers from the Israel Defense Force to transport the loaded trucks into Gaza continue to be refused.
It is fairly obvious that Gaza had no need for anything from those ships.
How could any State view the cries for humanitarian aid to Gaza as anything other than a ruse to transport terrorists and weapons into Gaza?
With the exception of our own Armed Forces, would any other country's armed forces be this patient?
“Go back to Auschwitz.” What the hell, is Helen Thomas broadcasting from Hearst’ offices? Must be. What does she have in mind for blacks?
Mind-boggling to even consider.
Understood. Yet sadly the rest of the world, including the Obama administration, on Monday will probably be heard crying about the blockade and complaining about Israel's right to protect itself.
Ping and hi Cindy. I wasn't sure if you had heard this one yet.
Yes and thank you for the ping bd476.
At some point, I truly think it is going to happen.
Death by abortion on a huge scale. And she is getting it.

Good point. Hamas probably has it all planned out. Hamas has no qualms about sacrificing anyone, especially some of the activists who though misled, still cling to the belief that they are doing something beneficial for others. Sad.
Helen Thomas must have been in charge of communications.
Lol!
You're welcome, Cindy.
Hence, the ship "Rachel Corrie," named after such a foolish activist who committed suicide in front of an Israeli tank.
Bingo!
After copying my exact format above, including the times I wrote in for both the unedited and edited audio recordings, someone forgot to ping me to his exact copy of my post. I spent quite a lot of time on the format of my thread, so that's why I'm pinging you all here. Hope you find it to be of some interest.

Clear as mud. The IDF has admitted that they have no proof that message came from the Marmara, and there are some odd features about the recording.
Wrong. You have misstated what the Israel Defense Force said which was that all of the voices in the transmission were from boats in the flotilla including the man who said
"Go back to Auschwitz!" and the man who said
"we're helping Arabs go against the US, don't forget 9/11."
The complete unedited audio recording of the entire transmission is typical of maritime audio transmissions.
It also clearly shows that the Israel Defense Force was hearing from more than one boat in that flotilla on the same broadcast channel.
Now if your argument stems from your belief that the comments
"Go back to Auschwitz!" and
"we're helping Arabs go against the US, don't forget 9/11"
are less grave, have no bearing in discussions regarding the terrorists' intentions in the flotilla, simply due to those horrid comments being said by someone on one of the other flotilla boats, that is, a boat other than the Mavi Marmara, then I'm afraid you're on your own. There is nothing I can help you with there.
To any and all paranoid knuckleheads: all the folks on this thread are pro-Israel including myself. There are countless enemies who will sucker us at any expense because they hate us and the Jews and therefore Israel and anyone could have made up a tape with the same stuff on it. Helen Thomas’ interview on Jew hating and go back to Poland is real because it has her mouth moving and is video as well. What we’re saying here is we need to do a better job on PROVING something of audio is real and we can’t just take it as real because it came from the internet. I still don’t have that verification. I may be real, but like Rush or Hannity or Beck, they don’t risk their reputation and play stuff on the radio until it is bulletproof. I’m sorry if you can’t see that logic.
