This is a good time for the people living in this country to ask themselves if we deserve what these Americans did for us.

Thank you. This is an awesome video that I’ve saved since I received it months ago. It reminds me of my father who was a veteran of WWII (CBI).
Many of us are left with just our memories of our beloved heroes.

My dad, B-17 lead pilot with the 8th AAF, is still with us. I will share.

Man that is a tear jerking video and it would not matter if it was a P-51 or something else.

My Dad is still with us. He was showing me a couple weeks ago the photos he took when MacArthur “returned” to the Philippines. He has some amazing photos that have never been made public.

A slightly more useful way of putting that might be:
This is a good time for the people living in this country to ask themselves what we can do to deserve what this Americans did for us, and to insure that their sacrifices were not in vain.

What an absolutely great production...Very well done...
I am very glad those grandkids got to experience that in a way that will carry on what their grandfather did for ALL of us and our future...
I hope we can honor those sacrifices, by protecting those sacrifices...

(I'm jus' sayin')
A wonderful tribute to a remarkable machine, and to a man who certainly exemplifies the greatest generation!

(Zero the Wright kind of Racist! We are in a state of War with Democrats)
In the movie "The Big Red One" there is a scene on the beach where Lee Marvin is calling numbers - the soldiers drew lots - for who was next to try to advance the explosives. These guys would run out one at a time after seeing each man before get cut down. The reality of that is incredibly sobering.
When I watch films like "Saving Private Ryan" and the "Band of Brothers" series that depict WWII combat accurately I marvel. Those men knew - they knew - that they were probably going to die. And yet they went.
God bless them and keep them.

Simply wonderful...thank you
Would that photo collection happen to have a shot of a sign that was tore down just prior to 'the return' that said
With the help of God and a few Marines
We made it safe in the Philippines
If you do, would love to have a JPG of that one.

It must be an allergic reaction; I had the same symptoms plus my nose started running.
Great story and video. Thanks for sharing it. My brother owns a PT-22 Ryan he just finished restoring. When he was polishing the fuselage he found where pilot cadets who flew the trainer had etched their names and or initials on the aircraft. Makes you wonder what aircraft they flew after basic flight training, what did they fly after basic primary and went on to fly combat in the war, did they survive and are any of them living today. My brother is attempting to find out but it may be impossible to obtain the original log books.
I always wanted to be a fighter pilot but had a heart murmur so jet flight was out. I did the next best thing and worked flight simulators and weapons trainers for the F/A-18 Hornet working for Hughes Aircraft company, culminating in training pilots up and through the gulf war. I did some training sorties operating the simulator for Scott Spiker "Spike" who was the first F/A-18 Navy Pilot shot down in 1991 and did not return home. That was twenty years ago and seems like yesterday. Young men are still training everyday for combat and flying fighters into harms way overseas day and night to protect our freedom still. Pray for them and their families.
