Lesbian Parenting Study:Research or Propoganda?
protectmarriagesite.com ^ | 06/08/2010 | Louis J Marinelli

So I came across a series of news headlines that refer to a recent study which says that children of lesbian couples grow up just as well as children in households where there is both a mother and a father. These articles drew my attention because it goes right in the face of one of the core arguments of the effort to protect marriage: the idea that marriage is about family and a family is made by mothers and fathers together, who raise their children together.

At the bottom of their webpage is a link to their supporters and funders. I’d like to go through each of these funders and let my readers decide for themselves if this study is research or propaganda. Remember, the project staff is a highly professional team. So all that is left are those funding the study.

Since Lesbian parenting has only been “in” for about 15 years or so and the statistical sample sizes are small, I’d surmise that the jury is still out on the impact of such parenting!

I disagree with the author’s first contention, that the research team is ‘legit and professional’. They’re working directly for the USA National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study:

Didn't these same sorts of "experts" tell us that giving kids too much sugar would not make them hyper, and that spanking was bad, and that we have to pump our children's self-esteem at all costs?

How did all that work out?

This study says that "study" is propaganda.

Homosexual Parenting: Is It Time For Change? - AMERICAN COLLEGE OF PEDIATRICIANS

In summary, tradition and science agree that biological ties and dual gender parenting are protective for children. The family environment in which children are reared plays a critical role in forming a secure gender identity, positive emotional well-being, and optimal academic achievement.

Just saw an article posted here at FR a few days ago discussing the problems faced by young adults when daddy was a test tube. The article talked about how these young people felt cheated by not having a full health or genealogical background, how they felt different from others with an identifiable father & so on. Basically, there were no positives for sperm bank babies.

Doesn’t seem to square with this study now, does it.

These reports are false because the standards the experts use are deviant.

I dunno. As always with this type of research, I think it depends on how hot the two mommies are.

It seems to me that the lesbians are the ones pushing for gay marriage and gay kid adoptions. The gay guy can give two sheets about marriage. Marriage has always been a women thing anyway (look at wedding plans) . So the world will be full of lesbian females and the males will just die.

Dude they’d have no use for you no matter how “hot” they are.

And, let's take a look at more objective study THAT WAS NOT FUNDED BY HOMOSEXUAL ACTIVIST GROUPS:

http://fota.cdnetworks.net/pdfs/2010-01-26-usatoday-stanton-response.pdf

In a five-year period, six of the 14 lesbian couples had broken up compared to only five of the 38 heterosexuals.

The study also goes on to say that a "double does of maternal investment sometimes produces jealousy and competition between the comothers which the asymmetry of the women's genetic, reproductive and breast-feeding ties to their infant could exacerbate."

I didn’t believe the results of this study from the first second I heard it announced of the the lame-stream airwaves. Just as violent homosexual activists were successful at intimidating the psychological field into removing their pathology from the books, they are also successful in removing their well-deserved stigma from any kowtowing “legitimate” organization that won’t stand up to their insanity, or won’t turn down a bribe.

The study says that men are completely unnecessary, except for their "material" contribution, of course.

A feminazi's dream come true.

Consider the Source, Funding and Design.

As IF the outcome of this study was going to show anything but what it showed.

Strike 1: The author is Nanette Gartrell (who is “married” to Dee Mosbacher, a self-described “lesbian feminist activist”).

Strike 2: The study’s funding was underwritten by LGBT interests.

Strike 3: The study outcome is invalid due to self-selection bias. It relies on a SELF-SELECTED group (!) without any control group (hetero couples, single straight parents, etc.). (It’s just 154 lesbian mothers who volunteered themselves).

Strike 4: The methodology of the study called for THE PARENTS to rate their own children, and the children to rate THEMSELVES via an “online survey.”

The liberal media now requires you to believe: 84 lesbian couples in a fraudulent, LGBT funded study contradicts hundreds of millions of real families (and 100,000 years of human history). What a farce. If you have respect for real science, just file this colossal waste of time under “p” for propaganda.
