Clyburn says S.C. Dem Senate candidate a 'plant'; calls for probe

The man nominated as Democrats' candidate for Senate in South Carolina might have been a "plant," a high-ranking Democrat suggested Thursday.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) called for South Carolina to investigate the circumstances that led to Alvin Greene winning the Democratic Senate primary in his state earlier this week.

"There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary," Clyburn said during an appearance on the liberal Bill Press radio show. "I don't know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone's plant."

The third-ranking House Democrat said he found it strange that Greene, a relative unknown prior to Tuesday, was able to produce the money to register and run for Senate despite being unemployed.

Right, the Repubs plant a complete unknown in a DIM primary who gets 60% of the vote. If the Repubs could do that McLame would be president right now.

It doesn’t matter. People can vote for a tree stump if it makes it onto the ballot.

This has to be the most uncovered story in the history of uncovered stories. The Democrat nominee for US Senator is facing a felony trial for lewd behavior, and NOT A PEEP about it from the mainstream media.

I’m guessing ACORN or the SEIU is behind this guy and the democrats will drop their demands for an investigation pretty quickly.

This is hilarious! Is this not the same liar who claimed that the "N" word was used at the Obamacare protest in D.C.? I was standing right there when this episode did not occur and I know him to be a liar. Now realize he is a delusional liar.

What law was broken, Clyburn, even if someone else gave him the money? Perhaps the Democrats just don't want a Black person that is off the plantation to be running on the Democrat ticket.

S.C. Rep Tod Rutherford (D) said Greene is mental

". "It is troublesome at best. I think his mental capacity may prohibit him from getting the joke."
He said Greene should undergo "some sort of mental evaluation"

This guy is a dolt. Shep had a telephone interview with him and the man sounds as if he may be a tad bit looney.

That's because this is proof the MSM can't do their job. If the media were examining the Dems even half as much as they examine Republicans they would have caught this long ago.

I heard Alvin Greene on the talk radio this morning and he sounded dumb as a plant. I laughed through the whole thing. Even the radio host didn't know what to say when the interview was over.

To say Greene's not articulate would be a gross understatement. I don't know if he missed his morning coffee or that's just the way he is all the time. I'm sure the SC Dem party officials must be going psycho over this. Hilarious.

“...and NOT A PEEP about it from the mainstream media.”

Its proof of fascism....the union of the media and the Democratic party....with collusion of the FTC/FCC to boot.

The guy was just doing a phone interview on Fox. He is a moron and looney, but then that qualifies him for the demo-rat party.

Seems the Army discharged him for being a pain in the ass.

It will be very interesting to find out who paid the $10,000. This guy is a kook. But, unless they can show some voter fraud, it really doesn't matter who paid his election fee, or if the Republicans talked him into running.

It will look sleazy, though oddly efficient for the GOP, if they were behind it, but its certainly not illegal and not reversable.

Liberals LURVED open primaries when they could use them to help saddle us with McCain. Suddenly, they're an outrage.

I am arguing with myself on this scenario but here goes...

The SC Dim party is comprised of a majority that is made up of minorities who would unfailingly vote for a minority candidate. Knowing that in advance the Dims made the plant so that later, when the timing is such that an attractive candidate can get on the ballot at the last minute and not face much scrutiny, they could get rid of the plant and install a hand picked candidate.

As proof I off the fact that Dims usually are the first to accuse others of something that they have in fact done themselves.

That and the fact that they have pulled just that kind of stunt in numerous other elections.
