(Reuters) - Last month was the warmest May on record, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said on Tuesday.

It was also the 303rd consecutive month that was hotter than the 20th century global average for that month, according to Deke Arndt, chief of the climate monitoring at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center.

"Since February 1985, every single month has been warmer than its 20th century average," Arndt said by telephone from Asheville, North Carolina.

Since February 1985, every single month has been cooler than the 10,000 BC average, as well.

No mention of how cold February was (at least where I live).

After February, I don’t mind all this “global warming.” Feels a heckuva lot better.

They should check out the Pacific Northwest: coldest “high” temps on record for Portland yesterday, average temps are running 10 degrees lower than normal for the month of June so far.

Only in SOME places.
Here in AZ it was the coolest in memory. We kept waiting for 100 degrees and it was late in the month.

My friend in Ca said the tree fruit crops are late because of unusually cool weather this year.
This article must believe only the temps in their area should be considered.
How dumb.

They must have their thermometer somewhere near the bodies of that “hot” Algore and his new friend.

Central California has been very cool this spring. Only one weekend of >90 deg all year. Very unusual.

It sounds like the whole west coast was cooler than normal this spring. So which parts of the country were hotter than normal? It sure didn’t make the news.

NO, they had hoped that all the sheeple would beleive. Now because some of the sheeple have stumbled upon the truth, the liars have to double-down on the BS.

Historic high????
That must be why our furnace was running so many days last month. The Gore-bull warming crowd must not have included any temperatures from Western New York.

And just today it is reported that South Africa received its first snow in 30 some years.

They have to keep up the lies because it is the only way they can recoup their investment in CCX (thanks in part to BHO).

No kidding. We haven’t even had a day in the 80’s yet, which normally occurs at the beginning of May. I bought a new gun in April and haven’t been able to complete my barrel break in because I haven’t had a day calm enough to zero past 50 yards.

The first day I quit after 15 shots and the wind started gusting over 50 MPH. It has rained half of the last month, which never happens.

Global warming my a$$.

Despite no global warming in 10 years and recording setting cold in 2007-2008, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climatic Change (IPCC) and computer modelers who believe that CO2 is the cause of global warming still predict the Earth is in store for catastrophic warming in this century.

Global temperatures increased for twenty years from the late 1970s to the late 1990s but have actually been cooling the last eleven years. The global warming and subsequent cooling were even predictable due to hundreds of years of historical trends and observation of the impact of variations in solar activity on global temperature.

Did you know that the Roman Period and Medieval Period were both several degrees warmer than today’s temperature. The world then cooled at least four degrees from 1450 to 1850. This period was called the Little Ice Age (a period of glacial advance, the same glaciers that are in retreat today). These temperature variations were not caused by man.

The reports circulating from the U.N.’s climate summit in Copenhagen also don’t mention scientific climate data that suggest the globe has cooled in the last 10 years.

Data from the U.S. National Climate Data Center indicate temperatures in the U.S. have cooled over the last decade at a rate that projects to a decline of 7.3 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century

Yes it is the middle of June here in the Seattle area and it feels more like March. Ask farmers whether it was the warmest May ever. Crops around here are way behind because it has been cold. How long do these partisan hack “scientists” think they can distort the record by cherry picking weather reporting stations? They only have one weather station left in the far North of Canada that supposedly gives the average for locations thousands of miles away.
